jag, i was so disappointed that chevy didnt have an option for colored stitching. i have been searching for some time on this issue and found several Camaros that have dyed their stitching, but your one of the first that did the c7. AWESOME!!! i understand that pictures dont do it justice, but i was concerned how well the yellow dye matches the v/y exterior? and by the way, all your add ons look AWESOME!

Thanks everyone!

The color match looks good to me, btw. I'll check it in the sunlight later today, but I thought it was a very close match.

CSEVEN, nice job with the red!

I'm looking for ideas about what interior trim parts to paint and what color to paint them. I'm bouncing ideas around in my head using carbon flash and/or/with velocity yellow. I like what Glen has done with his trim in CF, but my VY car is "loud" and I wonder if the interior would look good with some VY too. Ideas?

Default leather staining

Corvette 'leather' has a plasticized sealant to prevent staining. So using the colored pin and having a little overspray should be a non issue. Just wipe it off immediately as you go.

clear coated VY on the interior would look good..just remember your exterior is tintcoat - probably not a pure match to what you have in rattle can...not sure , but try it a sample piece...

Looks great. Do you think going over it one more time might help stand out a little more?

I was planning on testing a spot later today to see if that would brighten it more.

Any opinions on how blue stained stitching would look on black seats? Too washed out?

Exterior car color would be Laguna Blue.

I wanted my interior stitching to match the car, so I bought a "Stained by Sharpie" Fabric Marker and went to work on the stitching. Of course, I used yellow, but there are a variety of colors available: http://www.sharpie.com/enus/pages/st...y-sharpie.aspx

It took about two hours to transform the stitching. The process involved staining a 4-6 inch section then wiping the excess off the leather with a dry rag. There were no issues at all and it really looks great (the pics really don't do it justice).

Here are the pics (the first pic is of the passenger seat BEFORE being stained).

WW looks great and definitely something I am going to do...
