C6's had nowhere this much stitching....with this much stitching being so pervasive in the interior of this vehicle coloring should have been an option GM dropped the ball on this one. on my c6 I just had my seats reupholstered with yellow seat pads and yellow stitching one the seats, I also had the word Corvette embroidered in yellow in headrest came out awesome was round eight hundred
GM knows what they are doing, they are not going to release every option they ever plan to have in year 1. Need something to get people to trade up for by adding little bits each year.

Searched every craft and fabric store in a 50 mile radius, finally found them tonight at staples in an 8 pack variety pack for $15, oh well can try it now, maybe do red white and blue haha

Looks great! Definitely a visual improvement...and on the cheap

I couldn't wait for an order so now I need to do this myself
Ideally there would be something that can guarantee you can clean the leather (with water for instance) so it can be applied quickly, and only the thread would keep the dye when drying - but I'll settle for being careful thread by thread if that's the best - albeit slow - option ? (yet still there must be times where you touch the leather, how do you wipe that with no staining at all?)
Thanks !

Any solution to match kalahari
So is it possible to dye white to match kalahari color? I bought a torch red with black interior but am considering modding the interior to kalahari. the stitching on the dash is my problem area.

[QUOTE=WackyBob;1585957685]Wow!!!!! Really brave to mark on the leather. The excess dye on the leather just wipes off? I have adrenaline red interior. I would LOVE to dye my red stitching in the red seats black for contrast. I have the 1LT interior with the gray stitching in the dash, door and steering wheel. It would be awesome in red.
It just seems TOO good to be true.......Seems it would be way easier to wipe yellow dye off black seats than black dye off red seats. If I try it and mess up my seats I might have a heart attack.
PS- If you are correct you will be the HERO of 1LT owners on this Forum. You may even make my favorite personal cost effective forum MOD expert "Glen e" jealous.
I have Red Interior, just take a Black Sharpie to it, works fine. but not 4 me.So i wiped it off.

Did you do the dash stitching as well? Or just the seats?
My car is black with yellow calipers , so thinking of doing this on the black interior but sounds like I need to be fully committed.

and it shouldn't take more than 45 minutes to do the entire interior - seats, dash and doors

ssscooter66, that looks great!
Don't be afraid to touch it up when it looks a little washed out. It is just a function of the dye getting further into the fibers.
Anyone who does this, should realise that a few passes at the thread will only make the color better.
