There was a story I read awhile back that goes like this. There was a CTS-V that a friend had brought over . Joe could not leave the house with the car because of secret service. So he did burn outs in his driveway and came away saying that car was a blast and faster then his corvette. Cool car guy for sure.

MR VP Biden you can drive my 67 anytime you want or my 14. You guys helped keep the Corvette alive from what I have read. The treasury guys which were car guys decided to keep the Vette program. So glad there were some car guys in charge @ the time .

Yep, the Taxpayers got hit with a $10,500,000,000 LOSS (that's $10.5 BILLION DOLLARS for those of you in Rio Linda) so us well to do Old Geezers would still be able to buy a new $70,000 Corvette.

Too bad about the GM Bondholders, Stockholders and Dealers who lost their Investments because the Bankruptcy Laws were ignored so the UAW could get their piece of the Obamabucks Pie.

As a side note, RINO G.W. Bush got the GM bailout ball rolling, Obama just picked it up and ran with it. What's $10.5 Billion when the National Debt is approaching $18,000,000,000,000 ($18 TRILLION).

I think it was Bob Lutz who famously said GM is an Employee Benefits Company that just happens to build Cars.

I also find a hell of alot more in common with those 'old Republicans' because of their life experiences, successes, and overall maturity and taking responsibility for one's actions. Something the Democratic Party is unfamiliar with.
