Highly doubt it. Look high on the left rear side of the trans. It may have a heat insulator.

This is so simple an install, any one with a lift can do it in a few minutes. See my post #162 and print pic and give to whoever in your area has a lift!
I watched a gal on the TV Show, "All Girls Garage" do it in literally 1 minute as we watched real time on the show! It's remove the plug to the skip shift solenoid and install the device on the end of the wire going back to the car. Then use a wire tie (supplied) to keep it from hitting the exhaust pipe. It just places the proper resistor value that fools the cars computer into thinking it activated the blocking solenoid!
Now if fairness, that gal had the car up in the air on a lift and the car had not run for hours as they were doing other things. I did my own while I had the car jacked up changing the brake pads so again cold exhaust pipes.. So to save time for the person who will do it, suggest you drive there, you wait an hour with the car shut off, then let them pull on a lift and probably wait 10 minutes as their hands will be close to the exhaust pipe! As shown in the pic the solenoid is near the top of the trans on the driver's side.

See post #157 from a Forum Vendor I have used them-excellect.
Buy one from them that fits a C7 and it's as simple as unplugging a connector, inserting what you see and using a wire tie to keep it tight to the trans! Any location with a lift can do it. Most dealers will as well. In fact next time you have an oil change slip the tech $20 bucks and they will do it! Just stand in the back of the open door in the service bay and ask the Tech!

You're welcome! Some don't think it's needed as it doesn't happen often BUT I think that is the reason to add, besides being a PIA! This is why!
Had one on my C6 so was never used to it happening. When I got my 2014 C7 had not put one on when I was in bumper to bumper traffic. I went forward as traffic moved and was fumbling when it would not go into 2nd gear. Looked down to see what I was doing wrong! When it slowed considerably I realized what it was. With all the distracted driver's today, had someone been behind me moved forward when I did and at that instant got a text message beep on their cell phone they may have looked down to see who sent the message. Not expecting me to slow abruptly could have been in my rear!
I installed ceramic brake pads on my Grand Sport when I got it home from the dealer (no need to clean rotors with 30 miles!) When the rear was jacked up and the rear tire off (with jack stands under the rear to assure it was safe, went under from the front of the driver's side rear wheel and an easy install! As long as the exhaust is cold!
Cheap and easy to add so why not!

I purchased because of the longish drive through our deed restricted community. Speed limit 25mph. Strictly enforced on occasion with off duty police and radar guns. Plus I will try to be polite and not rev the car unnecessarily in the hood. This is primarily where the CAGS eliminator comes in for me.

Burning Brakes
I bought some heat tape and wrapped everything when I installed mine. It probably isn't necessary but its good insurance for a couple of bucks. I haven't had any problems but I haven't heard of anyone else having heat problems either.

If one simply drives it like a sports car, skip-shift will never be encountered.

Picked up my new car today. While I saw the DIC message once, the 1 to 4 shift was never felt. Then I tried to invoke it and I couldn’t. I’ll drive it more before I decide to install it.

Going to order and install this mod. I don't like being forced to shift from 1 to 4, sometimes I don't see the message while turning and in traffic and it causes me issues. Looking forward to eliminating this nanny issue.

Burning Brakes
I just went to install on my 2019. It looks like the temp sensor isn't there anymore.

My "1 to 4 shift" light seldom comes on BUT why should it ever. Installed on my 2014 Z51 M7 and then on my Grand Sport day one while changing brake pads to ceramic. Rear was jacked up for the pad replacement so with the left rear wheel off (car up safely on jack stands) just slide upper and installed the CAGS Eliminator in minutes.
Recall a TV episode of "All Girls Garage" where they had a car on a lift for another reason and real time watched as one of the ladies installed one in about a minute!
Have a wife that tells me when to shift, don't need a computer! Thank goodness she very seldom rides and in the Vette as I have to drive like an "Old Man!" At 76 still hit redline in 3rd frequently on the 3/4 mile straight road between two farm fields near my home, no traffic, houses etc. The cotton could care less at what rpm I shift!
