does anybody know how to make the rear spoiler on the z51 look like the spoiler on the non-z51 model? are there plugs or something you can install? or a lower bar?

If I decide to install a spoiler on my Non Z51 it will not be the standard one on the Z51. At the speeds I drive, it make no difference to me if this one does not perform as well. It looks great!

I was lucky because just before I bought my car they were about to install the Z51 spoiler. Actually my buying the car stopped the installation. That allowed me to negotiate replacing the spoiler with the wing and I couldn't be happier. If the Z51 had been installed I would have been stuck with it...

I'd bet it won't be long before some aftermarket company comes up with a lower profile spoiler to replace the Z51 spoiler. One that uses the factory Z51 mounting locations. Give it a little time if you have a Z51. The only other solution (assuming you have or want the Z51) would be to have the spoiler mounting holes in the rear cover filled and then repainted which would be costly.

colors are hard to "read" on the net, but that comes across as the absolute best look ive seen on a vette--and ive seen a lot (actually, other than at a dealer, not a single one on the road.... awesome.

Went that way in 2008. Bought the base vs the Z51.
ended up regretting some. I changed springs and shocks and rotors
and wheels. This time I wanted the Z51 plus for 2800 it's a steal to go up.
You will lose the 6k back when you sell it!
The handling difference was a lot on the C6. I'm sure it's that or more on the C7. I even like the spoiler better than the others.
If you like to once in while test the limits the non-51 can not hold what the Z51 can do.
The base C-6 begged for mercy where the Z51 felt strong.
The C7 Z51 can't be beat for handling.
At really any price! GM really nailed the handling of this car.
Look at Car and Driver. Lambo's no matter C7 Z51 turns more G's than about any car tested.
The spoiler means you have the best C7 wear it proud!

Z51, cool if ya wanna track it. Didn't want a spoiler or stock wheels. As for losing back the 6K when I sell it...

I also like the look of the non Z51 spoiler better.
I would be careful about doing anything that requires any kind of repaint. Nothing worse than a repainting done poorly...

if you buy any of them from gm authority and they are painted, they are factory color and quality.

He is referring to having your rear deck repainted after removing the Z51 spoiler in favor of the standard one and having the holes left filled in which is what the OP asked. However the plugs the OP mentioned is definitely more like something I would expect him to do.

Now I'm no body/fender person, but I'd think it would be very hard to fill in holes that would last in a plastic panel that is as flexible as the rear bumper assembly is.
