As my Father told me when I was a whining 13 Year Old working at his Gas Station on Saturdays so I could get an "allowance", nobody owes you a living, so shut up and get back to work.
He also told me that if you are lucky enough to be hired to do a job, any job, you owe your Employer the best that you can be.
I have no idea how an accomplished person, which I assume you are, can write such a silly thing. If I hire anyone, they agree with the terms of Employment. If they don't like it, they can go somewhere else and get a Job. Then they can become someone else's problem, not mine and certainly not my Customer's.
I certainly don't want to know that a disgruntled GM Employee, or Supplier Employee who thinks he is owed a living could possibly endanger my life by "forgetting" to tighten the Brake line on my brand new Corvette because he thinks I won "Life's Lottery", as a former President once said.
Rant off...

I hope the post isn't true.
But if it is, I hope the dope is dropped....although employers are limited as to what they can/can't do regarding what an employee writes in social media sites.

Waytofastvette2006,
Thank you for passing this Facebook post along. We do take these types of feedback seriously, and want you to know that we have looked into this situation. I can assure you that Vince Esser is not an employee of General Motors and his actions, beliefs and business practices do not reflect those of GM or Chevrolet. We take pride in the vehicles we build and will continue to investigate this situation. Thank you again.

How do you know low wages / no benefits? I worked for an auto parts manufacture for five years. They had the highest wages with in a 50 mile radius of the plant. Non union. Great Blue Cross Blue shield medical and dental, 6% company match 401K. When we had entry level opening we would have 100 applicants for 10 or 15 line positions. 2 weeks paid vacation after first year.
Most did have pride especially the 30 somethings and above. Many of the young kids had no pride or respect, had no clue how lucky they were to have such a good job with such a good company.

Thanks for the response. I believe some of the replies to this thread suspect Vince of possibly working for a supplier of parts to GM.

When will people learn that you never post anything negative and work related on the internet. Sure he doesn't work for GM, but I'm sure he works for a supplier. Dude should be taught a lesson.

I would not get too upset about this, because if we knew what goes on behind the doors of most places we visit or spend our money at, it is likely we might think twice. I was once told don't sit where you can see into the kitchen of a restaurant. Hmmmm I wonder why.....and no that is not saying that all kitchens in all restaurants are not what they should be, but we for sure know, that there are some out there.

Loyalty and pride are what is called character, and honesty. Sorely lacking in today's environment. If the employee doesn't like his employer, he is free to go somewhere else. He needs initiative and character to advance and succeed. It's not given. It's earned.

They are everywhere. A lot live in Monroe MI and Dearborn MI. They are in our restaurants, UPS, FedEx, body shops, on and on. What the heck is the Taco Bell thing anyhow?

I don't know about believing everything on the internet, but there sure are a lot of people on CF who ask for advice from complete strangers and act on that advice using their cars as guinea pigs.
