Which dealers are honoring the GM Employee Discount?
Has anyone here used this discount in the purchase of their C7?

My local dealer (non supporting) sold me a Torch Red Z51 3LT today with GM Supplier discount ($6,500).

And I spoke with them Friday and they confirmed both supplier and employee pricing.

Les Stanford is 100% on board with Employee & Supplier Discounts.
They also have a lot of allotments including Z51s and are very experienced with out of state deliveries.
I just spent an hour at the dealership speaking with my salesman and the Sales Manager about GMS pricing.
If you have a problem, call my salesman; James Fillmore [cell: 313-608-8547 or desk: 313-724-1416] he will hook you up.

I was discussing the employee discount with a friend(who is a retired GM employee) and he said that he could give his number to non GM people(I believe he said one or two a year) and that they could use it to buy a new GM vehicle for the employee price.

Les Stanford told me I couldn't use GM Employee Discount , that the Vette wasn't eligible...
My fav local dealer still will not sell GMS on Corvettes; saying they will for the 2015 model year though.

talking "Employee" and not Supplier:
it would be a lie for a dealer to say "Employee (GMS) discounts are not allowed on the Corvette"
it would be truthful for the dealer to say "we won't sell a Corvette via the Employee (GMS) Discount"

Question on the GM family discount.
I can get one. It is valid for 6 months.
The question is do I need the Authorization number at the time the order is placed or when the car is delivered?
TIA,
Elmer

It's only needed on delivery but your dealer may want to see it before they order though it means nothing at order time. The wording in your purchase agreement should be something to the effect that they will honor Family pricing in place at time of delivery if customer has a valid authorization number.

Now; onward to educate the masses that GMS does not stand for GM Supplier...
Employee and Supplier; different programs, different discount percentage.

Actually he can only give the true employee price authorization to Family members. He can, however give an authorization number to a friend which gets them supplier pricing. https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/GMVPP2...ee-Handout.pdf
PS- I purchased my 09 Z06 at EMPLOYEE pricing and I don't work for GM(and never have). It was a special program(friend of employee got employee pricing) that expired July 31, 2008, and I slipped in under the wire and purchased mine on July 28, 2008. $80,015 and the employee price was $69,038. Also the maximum DOC fee that GM allowed the dealer to charge was $75(and my dealer charged me $00.00). The car my dealer had in inventory had the Factory NAV option($1750) that I didn't want, so the dealer subtracted another $500 off the price(I still got the NAV).
The only reason I was able to get the discount was because I saw a short article in the Wall Street Journal on July 25, 2008. When I started asking questions, from my dealer and here on this forum, no one had a clue about it. The friend(GM employee) that gave me his number, had to call someone at GM to find out the details(on a Saturday, no less), then I gave my dealer those details so I could buy the car on the following Monday. There was no mention of the special program online at GM's site. Took a phone call to the right person to get the info.
After I did get the scoop and then reported what I found out on this forum, I had a couple of GM employees offer their number to me.
