Great question...
Here's all you need:
- 3M CF wrap from fleabay ($8 for whole roll)
- Hairdryer (hot)
- Razor (to cut excess)
- Some tool to push the wrap into the edges
Cut a long enough strip (may need to do in sections left & right).
There is also a bend in the grill about 4" from the right, so I did each side in 2 sections to make it flat).
Place wrap on grill, and push excess on top into edge.
Blow hot air from blower dryer or heat gun and start smoothing out.
Take SHHARP razor and cut excess on top and bottom.
And wha-la!
Simple.
$8 mod that looks like a million.

What width on the long strip? Does it matter much since you're cutting the excess off?
And heating it up helps to smooth out the wrinkles?
And if you have two strips how does it look in the middle where they meet? How where you able to line that up so that it looks like one piece?
And when can you fly to Colorado to do that to my car?

It's carbon fiber so match easily. Plus no one is going down there with a microscope (well maybe another C7 owner )
And when can you fly to Colorado to do that to my car? And it shouldn't be long now...your baby will be home!!

You rock, brau. I can't wait to read your C7 evaluation.
And it's ok if your entire evaluation is literally one word:
AWESOME.
