Still having problems, the first two remotes went great but the 3rd (Sears) is giving me a challenge. Press and hold transmitter and the car button at the same time. Light goes from slow to fast like it should be but does not result in a programmed button. Thoughts
Also followed the procedure to re-program an assigned button but no luck with that as well.
When I bought my C^ I had to order an adapter so that my garage door would work although my new Honda operated the opener just fine. I called the number in the owners manual to work this out.
Some garage door openers won't work with the the home link. If your garage door opener has a learn function, you can usually program it to the home link but putting the garage door opener into learn mode and pressing the corresponding button on the visor remote. Alternatively, you can get a new remote module from Home Depot or Lowes that plugs into the manual push button circuit of garage door opener. Those modules include a new remote. Then program the Homelink to the new remote.

We have a Sears Craftsman Opener and the Remote programmed with no problem on both my Corvette and my Wife's Kia Optima. You do have to hold down the button for a second or two, but I assume you've already tried that. No other Idea what it could be.
