Default Owner Advisory Panel

Just got another survey from GM and, at the end it invited me to join the panel. Did I just get myself on another spam list or is this really something worthwhile? Anyone else get an invite?

It's legit:

Why Join?

Panel members will have many opportunities to voice their opinions about vehicles, and other automotive related topics. Direct consumer feedback is critical to improve and expand GM’s product portfolio, increase customer satisfaction, and impact future automotive decisions.

As a member of the GM Advisory Board you’ll have an opportunity to:
  • Tell us what you think about current/future ideas
  • Provide input through surveys approximately once or twice a month
  • Have discussion forums where you can share your ideas and input with your peers
  • Interact with other panel members through discussion forums on topics of interest to you
  • Be entered into drawings for prizes
  • Receive results and feedback about what other people like you think
Panelists can participate in online surveys and forum discussions and will earn entries into a quarterly prize drawing by participating in surveys and online discussions.

I may have gotten the same survey. I wonder who made up the questions? I checked the manual transmission dot and kept getting questions about how often I used the auto transmission paddle shifters vs. the fully automatic mode. No N/A choices available and couldn't skip those questions without answering. Those results should be meaningless. lol

Received it a few months ago. I believe it to be legitimate. So far, I only received 1 additional survey.

I got suspicious when one question was if I had a V6 or V8 in my Corvette.

I got one awhile back too. It's no big deal one way or the other. Just one more place you can say how good the car is or complain about your dealer, whatever you want to say. But mostly its multiple answer questions. Maybe they'll send us another plastic tire gauge for compensation .

It went the same way for me. I emailed them late Friday and jacked them up for having such a idiotic format and how could they get reliable information that way. They answered, thanked me and said they would get back to me as soon as possible. IDK

I got one as well and filled it out. I agree, the V6/V8 question for the Corvette kind of challenges their credibility.

Got it also filled it out, the V6 or V8 question was the only dumb one. This could be a good thing.R

I got it and signed up. Later when trying to log on it would not work. V6 in a vet?--also the survey stopped short of completion--. The other email I got was really helpful in describing the features of the various electronics. Charlie aka cutnout

We bought our C7 in November of 2014 and we received the survey invitation last week. It appears that everyone will receive it if they have your email address. I completed and declined to join. Too much spam already.

I was invited and figured I'd go ahead and sign up, it asked what kind of other cars I drove and when I answered that set of questions it said something like 'already reached quota, you are not accepted in this group.'

Oh well, they probably didnt want to hear what I had to say anyhow
