Thank you for the pics. Is there any difference in just the seat backs between the two. Specifically are the comps seats thinner or deeper back in, giving you a bit more leg room and away from steering wheel?
The leg room felt the same with either seat. The side bolsters are larger giving the visual of a deeper seat, but your back is the same place on both seats.
I just converted my Gt seat into a competition seat and here is the comparison photos of the seats installed in the same car. I will be doing a full how to thread for anybody that is interested. I will be converting the left seat later this week.
The GT seats do look better.
Is the top of that Comp. seat in the pic twisted?... Looks as if the top of the seat is twisted a bit or not sitting straight. The headrest looks a little crooked.

Nah, the seats are straight. It is just bad photography. The whole picture is out of whack.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing the pics and instructions. I like the look of the comp seats, especially the CF trim/backs which are showcased in coupes. My concern is the comfort factor as my track days will be very limited.

Do you see any issues with replacing seat with a CF race seat ?
electronics , airbags system etc. `
some CF race seats is 12 pounds and less
I'm not sure of the weight. But no issues at all. I used all OK parts.
This is another one I did. All the right parts. I would not substitute parts because of the integrity of the vehicle.
The next one, I can weight it for you and take notes.
