Les Stanford Delivery Time
Hello,
What has been the typical wait time from order to delivery of a z51 coupe with no other options on constraint? I'm looking for current delivery times. I ordered with them this past Monday (4/14/14) and they informed me that they put in orders on Thursday (being today). I'd like to get a sense of time that I'm going to have to wait. Thanks!

Me three, my order was accepted on 4/2 and I was told 8 to 10 weeks assuming business as usual, no strikes or constraint issues. Dennis Tap is "The Man" and from all the posts that I have read on this forum, no matter who your salesman is at Les Stanford you are in good hands and they will take great care of you.
Z51, 3LT,
White
Adrenaline Red
A6 (blaming my wife)
Performance Exhaust
Mag Ride
Red Calipers
Carbon Fiber Dash
? ? ?
Dual Racing Stripes Carbon Fiber > change to Stinger
Chrome Rims > change to Black
Touring Seats > change to competition seats
Feel free to help me make up my mind on the above changes. I want the ACS black side skirts and front splitter and with black rims the car will look mean, not that the chrome rims would be bad, just the black rims will be better. Then the dual stripes might be too much black and the Stinger is the way to go instead.
To everyone that has posted on this Forum thank you for all the information, guidance and help. I really appreciate it, thanks.

I ordered a Z51 1LT with chrome spilt wheels and performance exhaust, and Dennis Tap with LS didn't mention anything about those option being on any type of constraint.
Just curious, what options, if any, are currently on constraint?

I too, ordered a 2LT, Z51, Auto, NPP, Chromes from Dennis Tap on 1/16. The vehicle came off the assembly line on 2/21. Sat in BG almost a week and another week in Toledo. Railed to Phoenix and was Courtesy Delivered on 3/15. Weather and rail were not friends on this order (8-9 weeks). LS and their salesmen are the way to go if you want quick deliveries and Great Service. I'm hearing that the only constraints these days may be FAY...CF dash. Good Luck!

Edit: I just got off the phone with my salesman. He said they they weren't going to be able to get the orders in because of the easter holiday. Hope that helps you.

My order was placed 4/4 and got order number same day. Was told 8-9 weeks for car to be produced. He said he expected to stay at 1100 for a couple more weeks and build end of May to mid June.

Les Stanford Order
Ordered a 1LT Z51 Coupe on 2-12-14. Car was sitting in their lot on 3-24-14. Total time less than six weeks (40 Days)!
Les Stanford is the best, you ordered from the right dealer.

That's good to hear! Is everyone ordering with Dennis Tap? I believe I have two people working on my order: Gerald Wilder and Chad Jozwick.

I usually don't like white cars, I usually don't like black wheels. But I saw a white C7 Z51 with red interior, red racing stripes, red calipers, black wheels, black mirrors & spoiler, body colored roof (also w/the red stripes).............It was by far one of the most beautiful C7's I have ever seen!!!!!!!
Build one on the Chevy site and see how you think it looks.

I haven't received any confirmation from them either. I was told I'd get an email today. I've emailed and texted to confirm, but nothing yet. Who is ordering for you by chance?

As far as I can tell Dennis doesn't do the actual ordering, it's done by someone else in the dealership. I placed my order with them on 3/28 and it went 1100 that day which is what happens when the order is submitted in the GM workbench system. It stays at that status until the dealership matches it to allocation every Thursday. That's why Friday is when Dennis says he will have a status update. The "Easter Weekend" story may be what his management told him. He doesn't seem like the type to make things up.
From what I've read elsewhere this week is a no allocation week for the US meaning GM is assigning orders for the 5/12 build week from other countries like Canada and Europe. Whether that means that no 1100 orders at US dealers will go to 2000 this week is unclear.
Dennis is a good guy but he has to follow his stores procedure and isn't as autonomous as some corvette specialists at other dealers. FYI, Les Stanford is number 3 in deliveries in the US so if they can't get us a Z51 coupe then no one can. He did say Z51 verts are a crap shoot, even with their allocation numbers.

That makes a lot more sense. Thanks a lot for explaining! I wasn't aware that the salesman wasn't the one that submitted the order. All in all, it's going to be a long wait! It's going to be worth it though I'm sure!

The "other guy" who orders the cars {referred to in another post} is actually the General Sales Manager, Scott Montgomery.
When I walked into the dealership for the first time, it was 10 minutes before closing. Both my salesman and Mr. Montgomery stayed one and one half hours over to answer all of my questions and take my order. I remember Mr. Montgomery saying, "If you want to buy a pick-up you can go to any Chevy dealer, if you want to get a new Corvette you need to come to me." Mr. Montgomery is VERY experienced at ordering vehicles and getting the maximum number of Corvettes from Chevrolet.
I NEVER signed any type of contract when ordering. EVERYTHING happened exactly as they said it would (or faster). When GM announced "employee pricing" they gladly switched my order to the lower employee price and I was also "price protected" from the increase without having to ask. Those of you recently ordering from Les Stanford have made the right decision, and have nothing to be apprehensive about.

X None of the above. My salesman was James Fillmore, a great guy, but all of the sales personel have good reputations.

Initially the communication with Dennis was rocky. Aside from the initial call where we "built" the car and locked in the options everything was done via email.
Since email is my primary mode of communication at work I am used to it and will typically respond in minutes, as do my co workers. An average email thread for me is about 5 emails all sent and received within 30 minutes (we use instant messaging if we need it faster, the phone has become a tertiary mode of communication).
The reality is most car sales people are face to face type personalities. They aren't as available or as comfortable using an electronic format, Dennis is no exception. He is obviously a busy man so don't expect email responses to happen quickly. If you have a question that isn't clear cut pick up the phone and call him, don't rely on email.
Once I learned that it's been smooth sailing and they have done everything they committed to. Though I hesitate to use the term "trust me" when dealing with a car dealership I think that term applies with Dennis and the LS team.

Hi Art - 2008 and thanks for the input.
I like the red stripes but have a problem with the Crystal Red clashing with the Adrenaline Red Interior, nit picking here but it is one of those things. I like the black spoiler but cannot stand the black mirrors, it's just me. I have made up my mind and will be changing the rims from chrome to black and after that keeping the build the same.
As someone else has already pointed out, if you don't like the stripes or stingers they are decals and can be removed, no harm, no foul, it's just the money up in smoke.
I'm thinking it is a good thing I did not see the white with red stripe C7 you did or I would have a big problem making up my mind.
It's done my order is in and like everyone else with a C7 on order, I can't wait.
