Well going on 36yrs of marriage this year, I called mine "The Mistress" and my wife says it's ok as she knows where I am. Also having the Arctic White, the personal plate says GRR8 WHT, so I guess you could say either for mine.
without trying to sound sexist here.. it would be my opinion that men name their car after women as cars and women share a lot in common from the perspective of a man, both good and bad. These functions can include but are not limited to:
costly repairs
temperament from mistreatment
high maintenance costs
but at the same time the positive functions they share in common can include but are not limited to:
somewhere to blow all your money and feel good about it
acquisition of sexual arousal
companionship
ability to show off what hotness you're sportin
I don't have the car yet stuck in Tenn. but its coming very soon.... they say. MAD DOG is my hotrods nicknames for the past 35 years. Started with my first 71 Stingray custom painted the color of the wine Mad Dog 20\20 and carried through many Hi Perf. Boats. Now its going to be proudly worn somewhere on our new Black Z06 \ Z07 ! Lots of people choose to name their cars, usually with a female name to give it more personality than just a material object. So if you named yours, what color is your car, what did you name it and why? If you didnt name your Vette, no need to pick on us that did!

I've got Cyber Grey which I am in the process of blacking out. Her name: Elvira
named after the queen of darkness herself! I felt it was fitting :-)

Since I have both a c5 & c7, and few people I know are familiar with the Cx designation, they are now known as 'the blue one' (c5) and 'the grey one'
One of my car savvy friends likes to call it flounder b/c he thinks the logo looks like a flounder w/ a long tail.
