No Blendmount on C7? Blendmount is so nice.

ok good... false alarm. Looks like they had to make it extend out a lot farther on the C7, but still looks real clean.

That answer is one year and 18 days old. People have figured out how to do it since then.

They had a very clean I believe Blendmount that attaches to the windshield mirror mount and hard wired to the fuse panel. Looks great and has already saved me several times. Will try to post a picture.

Since it wasn't mentioned much, I always stick them as high as I can, mines stuck to the left of the mirror, as tucked up as high as i can.

But, I do because I believe that it has to improve reception, but is it 10' or 200? plus it's going to matter on the slope of the road.

Blendmount, Mirror Tap, Max 360 and Escargot Drive (which provides a Waze alerts on the Max360). I hesitate to recommend the Escort Live, due to their crapulant support.

I resisted, I argued it was overpriced, I tried a cheaper alternative from Amazon. I sent the latter back, ordered up a Blendmount, installed in over the weekend. It's worth the dough.

P.S. Anyone who really thinks radar detectors are 'worthless' because they may not save you every time simply doesn't get it. Hopefully they won't have to learn the hard way. If I had $50 for every ticket my Escort Solo detectors (an S2, now an S3) have saved me over the years I'd have enough money to pay off every state trooper on the Eastern Seaboard.

These corded detectors are such a drag. Hoping rechargeable lithium battery detectors start displacing them soon so you don't have to drop a hot wire to your detector, that's why I run the Solo.

Valentine V1, Blendmount and mirror tap. No holes/ugly cords - clean installation and barely impacts sight lines. I keep the V1 in the console and it takes less time to attach than it takes to drop the vert top.

In the year since installation, the V1 has paid for itself many times over.

I've owned every iteration (almost) of escorts for 20 years. I just bought the ix and its new mount is AWESOME. All others have bounced or whatever, but this one is great. The magnet is so good you can sort of throw it in the direction of the window mount and it grabs and secures it. Really.

I'm not sure that the detector itself is any better than my max. Both are excellent - usually give me 1/2-1 mile of detection range highway and 1/4 -1/2 city.

I have mine just mounted low in the center of the dash. Most of the car down there is glass/plastic so the radar will go right through. I know it will be better (technically) mounted high, but its so good now, I dont need more range. Also, I am using the stock plug, os I dont want a wire hanging.

When you buy it from escort, ask for a free hardwire kit - 9 times out of ten they'll give it to you if you find the escort priced lower on amazon or whatever. Its usually easy to stuff around the window moldings if you want to mount it higher.

Default Escort Max 360

I went with the Escort Max 360 on a Blendmount with the hardwire accessory lead from the rear view mirror. Very sanitary and out of the way.
