There have been a couple of threads about pulling power from the OBD connector or the center console or the rear fuse box.

Likewise it has been established one cannot take power from the mirror wiring itself (unfortunately)

I asked Blend mount and was told that mirror tap would NOT be making a wire for the C-7. They suggested running the wire down to the OBD plug. Not my idea of a sound solution.

Yep. For those of us who have a '14, the blend mount doesn't sound like a very good solution, unlike the the c6 version. IMO, GM fell down on this, not providing a power tap to run the RD via the mirror.

I'd rather run the traditional coil up to the RD mounted low on the dash than gerry-rig the wires under the trim to somewhere in the dash.

Does anyone know if this setup will still work in a 2015 with the performance data recorder? My understanding is that the camera lens is behind the mirror. Will the mount interfere?
