Default You would never guess this was a base model Stingray

We just finished up our latest project. This car started out as a base model 1LT stingray. Even though the customer was budget minded with his purchase of his car he didn't want to spare any expenses with his modifications. A perfect example of some well thought out planning with the right color combinations can make a huge impact. Please enjoy!

Mods:

-Powder coated wheels
-Showstopper Stingray LED turn signal mirrors (carbon flash metallic)
-Showstopper ZR51 series spoiler (carbon flash metallic)
-Tinted tail lights
-Tinted side markers
-Custom painted stinger hood stripe
-Custom painted roof panel with jake logo

Pete; With GOD as my witness, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!! This car looks a thousand percent better after your fine work. How far away are you??? My car won't be in till early Oct. but I will be calling you before then as I want to order the larger rear spoiler. I believe you said it was about "one inch" taller than the GM stock Z51 rear spoiler. Is that correct???? Thank You for the great post and photos. Like I said to all the guys on this site, "YOU ARE THE MAN"!!!!

Nicely done

The wheels are a dead giveaway this is a base model & not a Z51, am I missing something?

The hood and roof emblems are a bit tacky in my opinion... I would never do that to a $50K+ car, or any car for that matter.

I agree on the wheels - they need to be upgraded - but the car looks great. The BASE or Z51 has almost nothing to do with appearance after a couple small changes, I know brakes etc, but again that is minor and in a few months the Z06 is out and will many Z51 owners now be trying to make their car look like a Z06? After all its JUST a Z51, you know a lower style base Z06! Will others be saying, what you could not afford a Z06. I think they all look great. I do like these upgrades, Im one that really likes the spoiler and a splitter, but some dont. Im thrilled to see them all.

Here is a pic of my garage. You need one of each.

My bad, the angle of the pic and the resolution threw me off.

But seems like to many "letters" all over the car... All those "letters" kinda take away from the looks of the car IMO.

Roof panel would look better solid black or carbon (with NO letters or graphics)... And side mirrors would look better solid color or carbon without the "letters" on them... Hood stripe looks good black/carbon with the Stingray "emblem" (fish shape)... But i'd leave the "letters" for the rear bumper.

Everyone knows its a Stingray. The shape and lines of the car look beautiful... But all those "letters" all over the car kind of take away from the great looks of the car...... Kinda like tattooing your name on your forehead, top of your head, your back, each leg, each arm, and each hand... One name is plenty.

Not for everyone, but the customer loved it.
