Default Has anyone change the license plate light on their C7 yet?

Just got my LED replacement bulbs for the license plate light. Wondering if anyone's done this yet and has any "how to" on changing the bulb?

Yes, easy as hell. Just pull the housings out and then the bulbs, then just pop them back in. Seriously takes 5 min at most. Use trim tools if you have them.

Agreed. Very easy. I changed out the trunk lights and the footwell lights too. Now I am LED all around.

I replaced trunk and license plate lights. Plate lights didn't last three weeks, one went completely out and other was intermittent. Pulled and replaced with OEM no problems since. Seems odd both were outside lamps.

The procedure to replace the license plate lights are actually in the owners manual.

I've had no issues with my Plate lights. I replaced them 6-7 months ago with ones off ebay. Zero issues and still look good!

Thanks for the help guys. It was incredibly easy to do and took only a few minutes. Why this wasn't OEM in the first place is beyond me.

When I first saw this thread, thought you were putting in a dimmer light. I usually dim my license plate light, just this side of inspection requirements. When in College we put red lights in the license light. Looked good, local law looked the other way.

Just installed mine a bit ago, very easy for both the license plate and the rear cargo area. Big difference for a little cost.

Amazon Amazon

these are great and not too bright. gives you enough to do all the t10 bulbs in the car. no sense getting ripped off 2 bulbs for $10-20

I replaced the license plate lights as well as trunk lights with LED's in my 2016 Stingray. Much brighter and cleaner look. Very easy plug and play installation.
