there are still many dealers over list and still selling strong to non forum type people.......reading here can give oyu the impression that everyone is getting massive amounts off of MSRP, but in the majority of dealers with few cars, it's not the case....

Some dealers only get a couple this year so they can try and sell over MSRP. Someone will pay it. Next year or two they will be discounting them.

The market will determine what a new Corvette sell's for. Maybe where you are he'll sell it for "more" than MSRP. There is no right price.

I'm just gald I got the CU discount on my order.

My dealer only has 2 allocations for the year and still gave me $2700 off MSRP because I've bought 'Vettes from him in the past.

Still 7500 above sticker in vegas. When I bought mine in for the tire they had an AW 3LT Z for 82000 which was about 7500 above msrp. I went back for my actual appointment for the roof it was SOLD and I seen an older person looking at it with a salesman so I am sure he was the one that bought it. They ended up placing a Z-28 put in the same place. The dealer was proclaiming to lookers that the Z/28 was faster than the C7, Which may be true however the price was 90k which was about 20k market adjustment added so I was the one laughing, plus I much rather have the slower C7. So Chevy is definitely doing some mark ups

You should offer him 5k over sticker since he's being so nice to you.

If you sat down and made him a written offer I suspect he would change his tune. If you did not submit a offer then no one really knows what they will take and what they sold it for.

Nope.. I told him that I'd gladly pay MSRP, but I wouldn't pay a cent over MSRP --- he said we couldn't do business, especially since I wasnt trading anything else in for him to make money on.

I wouldnt pay anything over MSRP. There are dealers out there that will go under MSRP you have to spend time and search. Good luck...

I'd walk the other way. Spend some time using a search tool like "Autotrader.com" and you'll find dealers with stock on hand happy to sell at MSRP or below. You might have to accept a color combo or options that were not your first choice but Stingrays are available. Good luck.
