Great news for GM and us Vette enthusiasts....the more $$$ GM makes on these cars the longer they stick around.

Considering there were no Corvettes in production since Feb. of 2013 thats isn't exactly a major feat.

So, let me get this straight, there were no Corvettes in production since February of 2013? If true, those bastards at GM have a stockpile of C7's hidden somewhere that are slowly being released to dealers. It's sheer genius. Any idea where they might be hidden? I'm gonna go with Shangri-La, cuz I think despite popular belief the ***** did find it in the late '30's.

3,000 per month this calendar year. 36,000 annualized. It is a hit. Does anyone know what the one shift production capacity is?

Much bigger hit than the other all new models, i.e. Impala, Silverado.

Umm...no, that's not what he said. That's what you're implying he meant. I know when MY '13 production ended.

Ah, not so fast. 46668 Silverados and 13348 Impalas delivered in May.

Sure, it's a hit but not so much on raw volume numbers but in comparison to its direct competitors.

Yup, its incredibly misleading and almost pointless to compare C7 sales to last year when the C6 had ended but the C7 was not released yet.

Yet GM keeps doing it. Guess they figure no one cares about the details.

A better gauge is to compare the C7 to the early C6 sales. For example, in May 2006 GM sold 3,317 C6's. And the early C6's were a big sales success.

The C7 is now on almost the exact same pace . . . making the C7 a definite sales success so far as well. Good news for sure.

There was still inventory on dealer lots...just because they were not in production doesn't mean they couldn't sell any...'13 was the last MY for the C6 but it's just like the comparison of any old model at the end of its life cycle compared to the new one...ie: when a new iPhone or iPad is released etc...

This is great news no matter how you slice it...and great for GM and 'merica....

When I took the tour on 1-30 during museum delivery the tour guide said they would target 165-175 cars per day.
