I was at the corvette factory and museum this past summer and my plan was to order one but after seeing how bad the paint was on everyone I saw I decided I would be embarrassed to say I paid money for it. I felt sorry for the people that had cars sitting there to be picked up for their factory drive home. I would have cried if I came to pick up my new Vet and had this bad surprise and I bet many that did felt like it.

Wow, was that really called for? The OP (look at the date) did state something that has been fact for many and not so, for some.
Those of us that bought the car did so with accepting any flaws that it might have and there is nothing wrong with that. Others might not buy with the exact same flaws and there is nothing wrong with that either.

Really no offense to anyone who purchased,haven't,will or whatever.I'm calm,certain types of medication helps..Back on topic:OP has been beaten to DEATH,DEAD,Horses getting beaten.
Bottom line:It sells!With cataracts or without.It's roll of the dice with 20/20 vision.If ordered and loaded with OPEEL AGAIN:REPEAT AFTER ME:

Some people don't have enough common sense to know that some degree of orange peel is normal for any "mass produced" car.
But if anyone wants their (normal) orange peel to be less, they can easily have it reduced from the clear coat... But be aware, your clear coat will be THINNER and may not provide as much protection to you paint against scratches, chips, & damage.

A high percentage of the OP can be corrected but I have a hard time with the wavy doors or ripples in the door panels when you look down the side of the car. cant correct those.
Still like the car but considering spending the extra for a 911 Turbo. cant decide. Pay for perfection or save a few $ and look the other way????????

My guess is it will have OP as well. The 2015's I have seen do not have consistent paint quality. Some are fair and some are bad. Since the Z06 will be hot and rare for awhile they can paint it with a roller and it will still sell. I don't think GM will really give paint quality the attention it deserves until demand gets soft.

Picked up my torch red car last week. The paint is like glass. I have to say all the negativity posted on this site had me worried but of the three c7s I looked when mine was being delivered at I saw nothing unusual
