I used the plastic trim removal tools and the front 2 "monster" clips just popped free and it was no problem. If you try and pull it up, you will hate it. If you try and pry it up with ANY metal tool, you will mess up the finish. If you get it all loose and then reach up and loosen the bolts, it'll come off easier but the brackets will most likely slip or move and then you will be fighting to get them back in the exact spot or you'll have alignment issues.
Plastic trim tools to pry up on the "Monster" clips and the two pieces om the area of the lights and hood pops right out.

This is exactly why I am worried to do this. If it was "hey just take some screws out and bumper comes off" not a problem, but having to pull, pry, and pray to the heavens you don't dent/damage/destroy your front bumper is scary to me.

I've got a question for anyone that has the front cameras and needed to replace your Z06 grill. Do the camera's simply pop out of your old grill and then plug into the new grill? Someone hit my car in a parking lot and cracked my grill and now I need to replace it and get some touchup work done on the front end where the Xpel was damaged. I can't tell yet if the paint was scratched until I get the Xpel changed. I've noticed on most web sites offering the Z06 grill that the version that mentions the camera's is about $200 more than without. I assume this is for someone adding the cameras for the first time, which is NOT what I'm doing. I just need a new Z06 grill with the camera cutouts assuming the camera's will move from my old cracked grill over the replacement grill. Thanks!

Update: I just found a few sites that call out the GM part number for the grill with the camera cutouts. It's crazy that these small camera cutouts are adding close to $200.00 to the cost of the grill without the cutouts!
It looks like the GM part number is 84020980

You will want to order the Z06 grille with the cameras already built in. I got a great deal on one from forum vendor Cultrag Performance.

Safety Car
Yup
and I'm one of them....in theory not a tough job BUT, I'm 62, iffy back, no way to lift the front end easily; that's why I'm going to Mark, my friendly neighborhood (super) Vette mechanic at Titus-Will in Olympia, WA and pay the 1 - 2 hrs. to do it right next week!

This ho hum video approach to removing the bumper cover. These tabs are nightmare. I couldn't even get the 7mm socket on the bolts because of the angle. Two tabs on each side. One passenger side tab came out. The other one broke off when I pulled up. Once you have one side loose ( both tabs removed from bracket ) the bumper cover can be pulled forward giving room on the other side to loosen the screws that hold the bracket. I believe if you only loosen the screws a little, just enough to get the tabs out. You won't have alignment problems. I put the car on race ramps which is great to fit a power tool to remove bolts. Plus the top of the car will still be low enough to work in the engine compartment. I did this by myself. 2 hrs 10 min counting setup. I did not tuck all the under body protection trim panels while positioning bumper cover but if the front of car is up on ramps you can see what needs to be done. Bumper cover can be pulled forward enough to tuck them back. The main big plastic can be slid back in. Just remove the one center plastic rivet plug. Slide plastic under bumper cover then put plastic rivet plug back.
