Default Cars and Coffee... and MGW install. Couldn't have been a more perfect day!

Big shout out and thank you to Nyvetteguy007 who about a month ago offered to help me install my MGW shifter after I was inquiring about how much it would cost to get it professionally installed. So I got delivery of my C7 last week and I took him up on that offer today. He also invited me out to cars and coffee which is an event that he runs where car enthusiast alike all come out and talk cars and trade war stories in the parking lot of strip mall right in front of a dunkin donuts. After cars and coffee we headed to his house where he put in the MGW shifter for me thanks to Theta's excellent and detailed I instructions. I have to admit...I really didn't do a thing. Can't thank him enough cause he saved me an easy $150-200. Don't underestimate the power of this forum...some really great people on here who just really want to help their fellow corvette brothers. If anyone is interested... cars and coffee is in Yorktown, NY and they meet up every Sunday. Oh...and btw...the MGW shifter is the truth! Definitely lives up to all the hype that I have read and heard about. Shifts are way smoother and its pretty much impossible to miss a shift. Thanks again Basil!

The side shot of the 3 C7s is odd-looking .. it makes the Crystal Red C7 in the middle look tiny .. I guess it's the distance, or the lens .. the Torch Red one looks huge by comparison... I had to get out a ruler to check my eyes ..

Sounds like a fun day, for sure ..

Good eyes jerry. I didn't even notice that but I definitely see what you mean. I think that's because the crystal red is a few inches further back. But it does look weird. Or maybe GM made a more compact C7 that no one knew about lol

Duane-

Thanks for the kind words and thanks to everyone else as well.

The power of this forum is the people in it and the connections forged over a common interest, this crazy hobby of ours...

And by the way...couldn't ask for a nice guy in Duane and his friend Weldon who came with him...salt of the earth and great guys...I was very happy to help with the install...

I had installed an MGW Short Shifter in my C5 and my C6 so I have some experience doing them but if it weren't for Thetas great write up it would not have gone as smoothly as it did for my C7 and now Duane's as well...thanks again Theta

As you guys saw from the pics posted by Duane we had a few guys from our local C&C come by my house to break chops...help a little...but mostly break chops and have some good conversation.

I still love my MGW shifter and I'm glad I was able to help Duane to enjoy one as well...

Here are a few more pics from yesterday:

It was a great day. Hang out talk about cars, meet 2 great guys from Long Island Duane and Weldon. Then head over to NYVETTEGUY007's house to break chops while nyvetteguy007 installs the MGW shifter.

Duane you have to come back up after you get your new wheels.

Definitely going to make it a habit to come up there Atleast once a month Mike. Love the open and twisty roads up there. Can really let my c7 go up there.... Can't really do that down here in long island and the city. Maybe next time I go up there I will be watching nyvetteguy007 installing your mgw shifter. Take the plunge Mike! You won't regret it. I did make it make to long island in one piece lol
