Condensation under HUD cover
Unplanned interior water event, leaving condensation under screen....
Anyone ever have this issue?
When out in the sun, condensation disappears...
When in the shade or garage, comes back so you can't see the HUD display
Other than removing the dash to get to the HUD and wiping the cover dry, any thoughts on how to dry it out? TIA

I think there are some here who would like to hear that story some day.
You've determined the moisture is inside the HUD projector? Just checking.
Air movement is the only thing that will move it out. Use a small fan, like one of those 8" Vornado's, put it on the passenger seat, aim it at the driver's side windshied and let it run with the windows down for as long as it takes. Of course you can use the car but run the fan as long as the moisture remains when you aren't using the car. I have no idea how long it will take. Let us know what you do.

In the automotive section of your local Walmart, you can get a container of DampRid, which you simply put inside the car when it's going to be closed up for a while. I've noticed condensation inside on several occasions, so I started using it. It really seems to work well.

Picked up a bucket of this at Lowes after work yesterday and simply took the top off the container and set it on the floor on the drivers side...
From completely opaque condensation to clear as glass when I got home from work today!!
DampRid is great stuff!!!
