Default What is the best way to protect the suede?

My C7 is NRB with Brownstone/suede interior. Most of the interior cleaners/protectants, even for leather, say do not use on suede.

What is the best way to protect the suede to make it look like new for many years to come?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Beautiful combo! First realize that it is not real suede. It is a microfiber product that resembles suede. As such, it is much sturdier. Having said that, if it is like Alcantara (a similar product that I don't think Chevy is using or they would have called it Alcantara) then you basically brush it once in a while. If it gets dirty just use a damp cloth with no cleaners. If its real dirty then I guess you're SOL.

Cheers.

I would follow suggestions in Operators Manual. Years back Ultra suede would ball up when cleaned and then look like H, once that happened fabric replacement was the only solution. Be extremely careful or could damage, try an out of sight area.

That would make my day! That means I can use any cleaner on it and not be so worried about the suede falling apart on me. Tell me more!

My 'dealer' told me to watch the suede, delicate leather, so he had me paranoid!

You can do as the old Italians do, cover your seats in plastic.
