Default Z51 Spoiler Gap

Curious to know if others with the Z51 spoiler are seeing a gap between the spoiler and the body on either side of the CHMSL. Mine does have a good size gap. Only thing I can think of is water run off? Thanks...

Yes, it must be for water runoff, but it's just big enough for leaves to get stuck in.

Ok, thanks. Yes, pulling leaves out is what brought it to my attention. Otherwise it is difficult to notice.

Next time you wash it, take an air hose and blow it on the gap and you will see the water run out.

Just something you might want to keep an eye on... When you are washing your car and you get around to your rear end, check the paint under and surrounding your spoiler if there is a gap. My 2010 Camaro had an issue requiring a fix where GM replaced the washers that were used in the install of the factory spoiler. For some reason there was some play between the two and I guess with high speeds/wind velocity passing over the rear end, it cause the paint to chip. Now I'm sure GM has learned from this issue on the Camaros but just in case... Can't hurt to take a quick look every once in a while to make sure.
