Default 1 great referral story and many deliveries yesterday~Plenty of pics~****

Just after Easter I received a phone call from Steve F of Brooklyn, NY. He had been at the New York Auto show (Jacob Javits Center) so he could view the Stingray first hand. Steve starts talking with the guy next to him and states he was going to call a NJ dealer tomorrow and place an order for a new Stingray...the guy interrupts him and tells him "don't do that because you need to call Mike Furman@Criswell first." They googled my phone number... Now we both have no idea who the guy was (most probably a Corvette Forum follower) but Steve and I hit it off and he placed his Night Race Blue 7spd manual Z51 order with me that day and yesterday he and his best friend Rob delivered NY Bagels to me and picked up this stunning 3LT Z51 cpe with Kalahari interior.

~Adam and his brother Ross (along with brother Ryan) are true car guys...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree as their Father Alvin(Naples, FL resident) is a car enthusiast from "way back". Alvin has bought two Corvettes (60th 427 Convt and a C7) from me, Ross just bought a 2014 Camaro ZL1 (and an Equinox) from me and this week was Adam's turn. 6 weeks ago he called up to order an Arctic White with Red Z51 cpe with 7spd manual...he came up from Chapel Hill, NC and took delivery.

Adam and Ross

Their Fathers Two Corvettes....

~Next up was Darrell T from Chesapeake, VA as he ordered a Laguna Blue and Kalahari 7spd manual Z51 cpe. This is his 3rd Corvette
( 95,05 and now 14)...his brother and Father each have owned a Corvette...so Darrell got the call yesterday morning that his new Stingray had arrived and he brought the whole family with him for the 3 hr ride.

~Next up was Scott T and his son from New Market, MD. Scott traded in his 2011 Triple Black GS Convt for a 2014 Stingray 7spd manual Triple Black Z51 Convt.

~Yesterday I also delivered a 2015 Silverado 2500 to Tim from Long Island who has bought two ZR1's from me and will return (6hr drive) in two weeks to pick up the very rare and coveted New Z28 for 2014...only 500 built. He is getting Z28 # 351. Tim also has a 2015 Z06 deposit.
I also delivered a new 2014 Equinox to some neighbors and received the deal paperwork back from Brian B of Plantation Florida as he is getting his Stingray via Courtesy delivery this week at his local Chevrolet dealer.

~Busy day yesterday delivering many 7spd manual Stingrays!

I always look forward to your posts. Great short stories and pics. Just curious: I guess you tell your clients that you'll be posting about their experience here. Every so often do you get someone to decline their inclusion here for whatever reason?

Your new vette owners always look so happy in your pics, good job Mike!

I post only about 60% of my deliveries for various reasons... but only 1% prefer not to be shown on blogs....usually because of their political/military ties to the Wash DC area that we live near.

I have stated here on CF that Criswell delivers more manual trannys then Auto's for some reason. It just so happened that this whole post were all 7spd manual transmissions.

Ah, yes, the Alvin connection continues.

BTW, great pics of Alvin's 2 Vettes in Florida at his home. Looks like he has a lift for the 427 Vert. Didn't you visit Alvin while you were in Florida on vacation, or was that another customer of yours (AKA "Mr. T") that did that visit with Alvin?

Loved the story about the no-name guy at the Auto Show in New York who told your customer to only consider Furman at Criswell for his C7 order. What are the odds of that happening???!!! Obviously a Corvette Forum guy.

The nice weather in Maryland is really bringing out the C7 customers at Criswell. So, how many C7 factory orders do you still have remaining to build and deliver before the 2015's begin to be built and delivered?

Mike;
Just curious, are you seeing a younger customer buy the new Stingray, or same demographics as previous years?

Other then Bill17601... who is in great shape at 29... I would say the average age is very similar...the difference is the Corvette never had so many Porsche and Ferrari buyers...ever!...and they are raving about the Stingray....which never happened in my 36 yrs of selling Corvettes.

I've never been a white car guy but white C7's with black wheels sure stand out.

The C7 is so much better a car than it previously was, it's taken 38 years for me to want to buy a newer model. My difference is that I'm not 25, as when I bought my first new one.

That is an interesting factoid: your seeing many Ferrari and Porsche owners coming in to buy a Stingray, I like tbe pix of the cars going home or being there already.
