I would add

- If you have a M7 and you try to shift from 1st-2nd at low RPM it won't let you and will try to get you to shift into 4th. Yes this in on purpose.
(Yes, it's in previous models but first time C7 owners are confused.)

Thanks!

I was totally unaware of that. I clearly thought it was driver's error.

Don't forget:
- When you pull out of the driveway the front end will scrape.
- If you wear polarized sun glasses your HUD will disappear.
- You can't use the steering wheel controls to change radio stations when any message appears on the DIC
- Most importantly, despite all these minor issue it is still the best damn car out there.

On #8 closing the hatch. I have had mine since late September and it is not getting better, people just learn to close it harder.

I discovered, with my new C7, the trunk closes easily if there is a way to let the air out, like a door open, or a window cracked open. This way, no slamming necessary.

They sure fixed that. The window's so small you can't hardly see anything out of it. But what's behind you is not important.

If you're a former or current C6 owner there will likely be a noticeable difference in the amount of heat supplied by the seat heaters on the C7. In my case it's almost undetectable...

I have always wondered about the reason for this...

Does the Stingray still have the little "mood" light on the bottom of the mirror?

Glad to see these compiled. I have been made aware of all of these from other posts over the last several months but this will help reduce stress with some new owners.

I asked my delivery dealer about the missing tow bolt. They said they had not seen it on any C7's but didn't know why. Now we do. Thx Glen!!!

IMO, more hot air enters the cabin when the top is off (coupe) than on a c5 or c6. This may be nice in fall/winter but for summer the A/C can barely keep up.

Default Shutting the rear hatch

Glen, great post and benefit for all. I've been closing my rear hatch since day one (10 Oct) w/o having to slam it. Forget what the book says about the 'heat' spring that's supposed to allow an easy shut and I don't know anyone that's really that comfortable with slamming it (which looks really stupid if people are watching). Simply lower the hatch and place your elbow on it and press down firmly. Try it a couple of times and you'll never do it differently. Really works .
