Compilation of performance numbers of current sports cars C7 included
Found this on a BMW site showing the new M3/4 performance numbers compared to its current competion and thought it would be appreciated here as well. Always interesting how close the numbers often seem to shake out from generation to generation of competing sports cars.

Keep in mind that US standards almost always measure with a 1 foot roll out. Meaning the clock doesn't start until the car has moved 1 foot. EU and others do not use this. This typically offsets time to speed to speed and time to distance numbers about 0.2-0.4 seconds thus making them somewhat incomparable.

I like how they missed the test where the stingray went up against the Ferrari F12 and the Porsche 4S.
Stingray 0-60 3.7
1/4 mile 12 flat at 118
Oh but that would mean that the stingray would be ahead of the M3-4.
pick and choose stats.
The only way is same day same track same drivers. That is the test I'm waiting for

The test numbers you quote came from who and were they done the same day and same driver? Link please.
You also seem to be a bit defensive about a measly 2/10ths, 2/10ths 1mph disparity(give or take) from your posted times. You come across like the major pubs were holding the Corvette back and not letting it run.
The data I supplied is from all the major publications that most car guys go to for performance numbers. Its not exact science but certainly gives a damn good indication of how they all match up. If you choose to dismiss it, fine with me.

Thought about it Bill. It is a hell of car but I have too much invested in mine, love it(as does the wife) and couldn't part with it, at this time. If I were to buy a new sports car it certainly be wearing crossed flags
Just came across something that I haven't seen on the forum yet and thought thread worthy.

I don't know who to believe, the performance numbers are all over the board. I know what I can do in my car and honestly that's all that counts to me. If I can't replicate a 0-60 of 3.4 secs there's no point in saying that "my car can do 0-60 in 3.4 seconds" even though it's capable.

It IS difficult to get rid of a car that's been personalized, provides enjoyment and has nothing wrong with it. And (some) has 500+ hp. Consumerism usually dictates otherwise. But some don't give in.

I like the post, good info and fair. And as many have noted before, including the rags, the cost of the car makes it the bargain of the industry. And it is made right here in the U.S. of A. A car with a base price of about $55,000 ( Z51 ) to do ( capable ) those numbers is quite a feather in Chevrolet/ GM's cap. So you got to give mass production a nice round of applause, as it allows many of us to be able to afford a world class car.

No Z06?
As I said from the get go, the data came from a BMW site so what cars the C7 'beat' wasnt their priority. If a Corvette site did their own list I would have posted that as well.
