Can you cover the car after driving, while its still hot? I've been leaving the hood uncovered until it cools down - wondering if that is necessary?
Should not be an issue - dust/dirt/pollen from driving would be more
of an issue.

What would be the issue with dirt, dust, pollen? That it would scratch the car when the cover is put on?

Absolutely
Never put a car cover on a car without washing the car first
A good car cover will not scratch the car, but putting a cover on
a dirty car will guarantee scratches in the paint

I have one of these and it is awesome.
Great protection and fit. I park my 2014 in a car port and I do not worry at all.
Very easy on and off. I bought the other car covers that were sub $200 and there is no comparison, just saying

How heavy/bulky is this cover? I am looking for an indoor cover for 90% of it's use, but on occasion would use it outdoors if we stay at a hotel, or longer exposure periods. Am I better off with a light weight "stretch" type cover?

This is a good cover for that - it does pack up nice and small and
comes with it's own carry bag.
A stretch cover is 100% indoor only, so it would not be a good choice
to take on the road if you have to park outside

I'm not aware any car cover company makes a Kalahari car cover.

Talk about perfect timing, picked my vette up from the detail shop this evening and when I got home my car cover was waiting for me at the door.
Thanks for the quick turn around Chip.
