That really sucks. Sure hope the police can find the person(s) responsible.

Smells fishy to me... Think about it.
It's for sure paint stripper.
How many people living in apartment complexes have paint stripper on hand?
If it was a jealous ex/stalker etc wouldn't they opt to dig a KEY as deep into the body as possible as opposed to using stripper that leaves the panels UN-harmed?
Who vandalizes a car and makes sure to get EVERY panel?
This literally reminds me of a conversation I had years ago with a guy that keyed up his girlfriends mustang on every panel so the insurance company had no choice but a complete repaint...
Just my .02

Somebody fishing in another pond?
Most people generally don't just walk around with strong acid on them like that... It would seem that the person who did it knew the owner and decided to inflict some damage for some reason. Someone was pissed about something.

wager that the only thing they were mad about was the car itself.
I say that whoever did this, didn't even know the owner.

I hope they are caught and prosecuted!

My heart goes out to the owner, not only for the personal violation she has experienced from the damage to her car, but also because of the distress she likely continues to experience knowing that the person who did this is still out there (assuming the perpetrator hasn't been caught).

When things like this happen it really makes you wonder how we, as responsible adults could ever allow something like this to happen. I would bet that it was caused by paint stripper as there is no damage, or minor, to the composite materials on the car. As long as it took to pour the stripper on the car you know someone had to notice, and as is typical nothing was said.
It seems that in cases like this everyone turns a blind eye to the event being played out.
It is a shame as to what happened to her car, her person and her psyche. I have no idea if this was just some random event or retailiation for an act on the owners part, or just someone who does not like Corvettes, possible a person who feels slighted by their own misfortune and wanted to ruin something nice of someone more fortunate.
Whatever the reason, I hope that is is not haunted by this incident or that individuals actions.
And it is fortunate that is was not acid as it appears that every thing can be fixed with Glen e's detailing method!
