Road trip experience
Wife and I arrived home from a 2,900 mile trip in our new 14 vette. Some observations:
1. Torch red attracts not only many looks and folks who want to race, but highway patrol will follow you for miles.
2. We avg 53 mph throughout the trip and the car returned 27.5 mpg.
3. The Tail of the Dragon is one heck of a road that will return smiles to the driver. If your wife gets motion sickness, bring Dramamine!
4. Blue Ridge Mountains are a pleasure to drive but don't expect to avg more than 35 mph. Also, they are beautiful roads!
5. Car ran flawlessly.
6. Complaints we found to be nothing more than a nuisance. Gas pedal foot got warm, Nav system on two occasions sent us temporarily in the wrong direction, tire noise on certain pavement was annoying.
Wonderful car that draws plenty of compliments and attention. Incredible performance, comfort and plenty of storage for a week for two makes for an enjoyable travel vehicle.
