Any news on the 2015 release date for shipping

My car either came off the line today or will be tomorrow. I think GM was waiting for my car to be produced before anyone got their 2015 C7 shipped. So, I think Wednesday my car will be shipped that means the rest of you should have your car shipped later in the week. Sorry for the delay.

Has anyone heard back from any of the top corvette dealers for any ETA info on the 2015s? Maybe we need to get Dave from Kerbeck, Mike from Criswell, Dennis from Les Standford and Rick Conti to chime in on this issue for further insight they may have.
Hoping its sooner than later as i believe all the car mags noted 2015s arrive in show rooms august 2015. I believe GM would have mentioned this info to them upon releasing the new changes for their articles written in the mags.
Get to work guys, ask your dealers and let us all know please!

Also the NCM said there will be No deliveries until at least 09/02, as a confirmation and then will be in VIN order! 40 per week.
Mine is being built any hour Now in the Birthing Room and I'm in the Waiting Room with the rest of the Expectant Fathers(& Mothers? No that's not right ).

Two of my buddies cars are already built, but were told by GM that the '15s won't be released until after Labor Day. There was no explanation as to why. Also, they don't even know how much their cars will cost yet. One is a museum delivery, and the other is a courtesy delivery.

Has anyone here checked if the pricing has now been input into the GM workbench system yet?
That might be another sign of progression towards shipping out soon.

I talked to my contact at the Plant today and he said they have not heard anything about any 2015's being shipped in the week to come. so it looks like the Labor Day est. delivery time is closer to the facts than we all wanted. I love Corvette and I'm a big GM owner. That being said, NOT A FAN OF GM OR THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS POINT.
For $77K I think I should get a est. time of deliver instead of the same BS that they have been saying for over a week.
Insert all the GM Love below. but I wanted to say what we all includding the 2014 Owners went thru a year or so ago.

Yep, I've been through this as well. My '14 was completed on 9/3 and after a trip to Nashville arrived at the dealership on 10/3. Kind of typical for the beginning of a model year even though it's not as big a deal as it was from C6-C7. Since there are significant computer related changes for '15 I'd rather they held my car to be sure there are no issues than be stranded on the road or have other malfunctioning features, etc.

I agree, this is a lot of BS. I could understand the 14's because is was a completely new car, but the 15's with the exception of the A8, PDR and some new package combinations, is the same as the 14's and should be ready to ship in minimal time. Really defeats the purpose of getting your order in early. Do not understand why GM is keeping the dealers in the dark as well as their customers about when these cars will ship. I mean, what is the mystery ?

Who is they? I haven't seen anything official from GM regarding shipping. Keep in mind that the 'usual' sequence of events is that the plant builds the new model year cars for a week or so, then closes for 2 weeks, then resumes building cars with shipping after that. The first cars (including mine) came off the line less than 2 weeks ago....

My VIN 378 was built around 8/25, finally delivered on 10/5!
Stuck in Nashville for NO GOOD REASON. GM says it was QC but we all know that's BS. I guess I'm kinda glad my 15' isn't getting built until the week of 9/1, no worrying!

15' got new software and I'm sure they want to make sure everything is good to go, last thing they want is another recall!
As far as the mystery part, I'm not sure why they just don't come out and say shipping will start on 9/2 with the first 1000 cars held for QC, they did that on the 14's

I have spoken to GM Cust. Care and they have repeated the same info for over a week that there is no info on any QC hold and the car should be ready to ship. We all know that is BS. We all know there is a Hold but they (GM) can not give our dealer or the CC a time line as to when they would be ready to ship the cars. I would hope they would test out any new Trans. PDR or any other updates long before the put it into a 1000 plus cars and parking them in a lot to see if they find something. Not sure but that sounds like a dumb *** move. Most opt. or changes should have been tested for months before installing them in a car you have ready to sale.
