A friend in Maryland spoke with Mike Furman who said this hold is no different than all new model year holds and the cars should be shipped at the end of the month. Thanks Mike and I can't wait to get my Laguna Blue Z51 likes yours!

Thats incorrect info....Sorry but but NO 2015 Coupe or Conv. has been shipped as of today and NO trucks have been loaded to be shipped out as of today. That comes from my contact at the plant.

Let me guess. Your confirmation came from the Chevy tracking website?

Here's another theory. With the Big Shindig going on across the street at the NCM thru Labor Day, all roads around the entire area will be a nightmare to get in an out of the Plant with 1,000s (10,000s?) Corvettes "circling the Wagons('15 C7s)"!

Didn't say shipped bayed big diff and I know well what you mean no ship but that doesn't stop them from being released just not allowing shipping to happen. My buddy's car is at 4104 Bailment invoice created

How about the money aspect?

GM doesn't get paid for the car - until the dealer gets paid from the purchaser. No deliveries of 2015 = no $$$$$ paid to the dealer and no $$$$$ sent to GM.

Must be nice to be in a position to make a product, and refuse to release its sale to the buyer.

For crissss sake; all that's different is the PDR and 8sp auto trans.

Plus the revised seats, wi-fi system, and probably 50-100 other changes that have not been well publicised.

What's new on the seats? I have a late build 2014 and wonder if I have them?

That part is easy, GM Invoices the dealership!

GM doesn't wait for the car to sell, they floorplan it!

PDR, 8 spd, new software, new options, new EPA testing, new window stickers etc... IIRC, last year some cars could not even be sold until they had the correct window sticker.

If they don't start shipping soon, the lot at BG will get full within days!

Last year, we had spies all over, on the ground and by air! Where are they now?

This was my screen saver for 3 weeks or so:

From last years launch:

Cue the music and the dancing girls because we got great news from Chevrolet regarding the C7 Corvette. The automaker has confirmed that shipping the new 2014 Corvette Stingrays to dealers begins today.

According the GM, the Bowling Green Assembly Plant has produced approximately 1,000 new Corvette Stingrays for customers with most of the C7 Coupes scheduled for delivery to dealers over the next few weeks.

As the Corvette Stingrays have accumulated behind the plant, GM has been working to expedite delivery which may cause vehicles to be shipped out of build sequence. “The new Corvette Stingray Coupes will be shipped to dealers as efficiently as possible,” says Monte Doran of Chevrolet Communications.

That means that someone with a VIN sequence of 800 might get their Corvette before the guy that has a VIN of 300. This is a normal part of any new vehicle launch and the process will equalize after a few weeks.

“It’s an amazing sight to see the transporters filled with Stingrays heading to customers in all corners of the country,” said Dave Tatman, plant manager of General Motors’ Bowling Green Assembly plant. “The pride at Bowling Green is overwhelming and it shows in the tremendous quality and attention to detail going into each one of these new Corvettes.”

Doran tells us that the Corvette Stingrays are being shipped both by car transport and by rail depending on the destination and all new Corvettes will be shipped wearing a white protective cover as well.

Perhaps, now that this picture has surfaced, we will learn that answer.

However, how many other unannounced 2015 StingRay changes will we ever learn about? Manufacturers typically do not announce such changes, for once announced, for example (hypothetical), that "we just improved the material on the interior 'A' pillar"), every such change produces a run of calls, often complaints when the manufacturer refuses to make that change on every previous-year car.
yeah, i know... not much detail.

Thanks for posting that pic. When I initially posted about the seats being new, I looked for your pic on that other site but couldn't find it at the time.

Could have come off another part that was installed in the car. Doesn't nessisarily mean the seat is new. Of maybe the fixed the Ventilated seats!!
