First car to appreciate!
Today I went to MM to have my fluids changed for track season on my 2019 GS 2LT and while I was there I went upstairs to see what was on the corvette floor and there were a number of C8s to check out there were a few used Corvettes to look over and one was a 2019 GS 2LT priced over 16k more than I paid for mine in December of 2019. Hoping to be able break even if I sell my car when the C8 Z06 comes in.
ive never owned a car that held its value never mind appreciate by 26% after over a year of ownership.

Since the 1950's, I cannot think of a more horrible year, globally, than we have had since the Wu Virus made its appearance felt. It was a very different and catastrophic year. Nothing seems to remain the same.

The C8 has had production issues. All cars have had production issues due to corona virus caused shortages. Less new cars? Less used cars being traded in and sold. Less supply, high demand? Outrageous prices. This won't last more than a year. It's not exclusive to corvettes.

I was offered $62k a few weeks back by Vroom for our 2019 2LT GS and figure I could probably get high 60's if I tried by myself but love the car too much, paid $62,700 in June of 2019 on a $78k MSRP. I am on the MM Z06 list and hope to sell the wife's 2015 2LT Z51 to help pay for that and keep the GS long term.

With the shortage of new cars due to parts and chip shortages, used cars are bringing a premium right now. How long it will last is just a guess, but if you are looking to sell, now might be the time.

Bought my 2019 Z06 M7 Vert 3 years ago, still love driving it, do not care what it is worth no intention of selling it.

I appreciate my 2015 C7 and could care less if the market appreciates it........
BTW if you are upgrading in an appreciating market, you are losing money. You only make money if you don't replace the car or replace it with a cheaper car.

They can't make enough C8s. People are waiting months for their orders. The C8 is the fasting selling car on the market right now: https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a3...car-in-feb-21/
