WTF - It's Pink

Also, at the risk of going on a hippie-rant on a Corvette board... I kinda hate the fact that everyone assumes that the owner/driver of this car is a woman just because the car is pink. I know you're all most likely right (someone may have even confirmed it by now), but that's a sad statement about society.
It's kinda sad that a woman can drive a car of any color she wants without anyone second-guessing her (except for maybe calling the color ugly), but good lord, the things people would say about a dude driving that car!? In TEXAS!???
Fellas it's time we take back the FULL color spectrum!
(Seriously, though, I know gender issues go far beyond car color stereotypes... but I'll stop my digression here)

With the C6 iteration there was a woman who owned a high-end beauty shop in the Dallas/Plano area that bought a C6 and had it painted that shade of pink before she took possession of the car. I saw the car in a dealership just before she picked the car up....
Might well be the same lady....??

I believe he's talking about mine - the 2014 Premiere Edition Convertible in Lime Rock Green Metallic with Kalahari top and Brownstone interior (Mine is #219 of 550 made). The color is the reason I bought it, and the more I drive it, the better I like it. I can't begin to count the compliments this color receives. But again, to each their own. I didn't buy the car to please anyone but myself. And it does.

I am almost positive I've read on this very forum that the C7 looks great in any color. Are we saying this is not true I've learned to never try to guess why someone does this or that. Lot's of people paint, wrap, or do whatever to their cars to represent their businesses, interests, cause, or any number of reasons. The owner chose a C7 to paint it in their desired color, so that was a plus already.

I have no problem with a pink corvette. When the Dodge Challenger was introduces my wife and I thought we wanted one but couldn't decide on a color. In 2010 they did a limited run of Furious Fuchsia Challengers. As soon as I saw the first picture I knew we had found our color. While it is not a true pink a lot of people refer to it as pink and I have read many similar comments on the Challenger forums. Doesn't bother me at all. If my wife was still with me (lost her to cancer in 2015) and GM offered pink as an option I am sure there would be one in my garage beside the Challenger. She loved pink and loved Corvettes so it would have been a no brainer.

Agree on the eye sore, and just cannot appreciate the originality of painting a car, any car, that color. UGH!

What are these women thinking buying a Corvette and modding it to suit their tastes? The nerve...…..
