One of the reasons that I stay the hell away from those trucks when on my Harley!

That 8 spd sure did go through a lot of gears for that little burst. Not sure I like that..

I also find it funny you would let your car get pelted because of "Break in" period. Hammer that sumbitch and get out the way!!

Great way to record what's happening in front of you. Since I have a 14, I don't have PDR but would like to have the capability of recording through the windshield. I haven't investigated GO-PRO but wonder if anyone has experience with one of these? Do they record to SD card?

The theory is that you can map out a race track and it can record laps. The Cosworth Toolbox software is able to analyze the data collected for lap times and various performance parameters. More information at: http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette-st...-recorder.html

You start the recording at the beginning of the event and stop it at the end. There isn't a requirement to push a button for each lap. The software sorts that out.
There is a button to mark the start/finish line which I assume it associates with the GPS position. I just started playing with the PDR and haven't used it on the track yet.

I have never, in over 50 years of driving, had a truck tire blow in front of me. But it happened twice in a day on a recent trip from Boston to North Carolina - on I-81 if I remember. Very loud when you are close by. Sorry, no recording in the Honda.

That wasn't the only reason. I'm glad you could find it funny, I thought it was funny too. Had a good laugh about it with the family.

Glad you did not sustain any damage. The PDR is a neat feature!

This reminds me that I'm too lax around big trucks on the highway.

Can you turn off the screen data such as speed? As someone else pointed out, it could be incriminating causing you to not share what might otherwise be extremely valuable information about an accident in front of you, hit and run, etc.

There is a "no overlay" mode.

And this is one of the many reasons why I had Xpel put on the front bumper and halfways up the hood / fenders on my way home from the NCM.

Glad to hear you weren't hurt and there wasn't any major damage!

Thank you. I have the GM paint protection option. I'm sure that helped the front end.

I thought that option never made it to production.

I had this happen once and the treat went across my hood - - - when I got home and looked I actually had "Skid marks" on the hood - was able to clean it out. I remember it scared the hell out of me.

Years ago I had this happen to me on a crotch-rocket. I was approaching the truck getting ready to pass when he had a blow-out. I was much closer that the OP as I was just about to pass. I got hit with the small bits but avoided the large pieces. I imagine that a very large piece would have knocked me off the back of the bike.

I didn't know that. I just assumed since there is some protection below the doors that it was the option I ordered. I guess all Stingrays have some.
