Default 2014 vs 2015 model year differences

As the title states, is there any major differences between the two? I'm considering adding a C7 (not z06) to my stable.

Major difference is the 8 speed auto, next is the nav with PDR, and the ZF1 package which is the Z51 wheels and spoiler (appearance package). And a few other options. But as far as options there is no real difference.

Okay thanks. Is 70K a good price on a new Z51 2LT with that PDR and 8 speed auto?

Any other options? What's MSRP? At this point supplier pricing is the way to go or you can look at Kerbeck and they are discounting deeply.

I got my 15 with a $74K MSRP for $65k.

That was the MSRP listing. I'm going to dig down on this one. Thanks. Any known discounts going on? Corvette owning loyalty? etc.

Owner loyalty usually don't come into play until years after a new model, maybe 4-5 years on the C7.

Supplier pricing.

With the only diff being 8-speed auto, I decided to get the 2014 for $7K discount vs MSRP for 2015.

What's nav w/ PDR?

What's nav w/ PDR?

For 2015 the Nav includes a Performance Data Recorder:

PDR Track Videos from Blackhawk Farms (10/11/14)
PDR Captures Tire Blowout
2015 NCM Delivery With PDR Video on 9/10/14

MSRP went up quite a bit.

My identical 2014 Non Z51, 2LT, with a few other options is priced $3,500 more as a 2015 model. ($60,300 vs. $63,800)

That is a significant increase over 1 year.

The larger dealers have to discount the 2015s more than the 2014s were ever discounted, just to get the pricing to match up on what is essentially the same car.

OP, 70k is too much. Kerbeck has 2lt Z51"s with the PDR and other options ( 8 speed auto) for about 65k. Also as Zymurgy stated there are supplier pricing, credit union pricing and other discounts available. Do some research with the larger Corvette dealers who sponsor this forum. ( Top of page" SPONSORS" ). Good luck.

True but a lot of that increase happened halfway through 2014 production. Besides a some options going up and even a few down a bit, the base price only went up 1k from the March price increase to 2015 models. Also lots of people were price protected from this 1k increase if their orders were in early.

Quite a few more improvements than just those.

1) Manual 7spd transmission also received some refinements for MY15.

2) The 2015 will have two new gauge cluster screens. The Tour Theme will have show speed with vehicle data. The Sport theme will contain a pocket gauge option showing horsepower and there will be an new eLSD status and Wheel Slip gauge available in all themes. These new screens cannot be flashed or installed onto the 2014 Corvette’s gauges.

3) The 2015 will no longer be limited to just the black colored exterior vents. Buyers can get them now in standard Black, Shark Gray or body color:

EYT – Carbon Flash Exterior Badges
EFX – Shark Gray Exterior Vents
EFY – Body Color Exterior Vents
E57 – Carbon Flash Tonneau Inserts for the Convertible

4) The Performance Data Recorder is paired with Navigation (I06/UQT) and is optional on 1LT/2LT and included on 3LT packages.

5) The NPP performance exhaust is now included with Z51 option.

6) The suede wrapped upper interior trim (IWE) is now included on 3LT.

7) 4G/LTE WiFi hotspot added to On-star.

8) More wheel options: (QX1) 18″ front and 19″ rear 5-spoke, Black aluminum wheels, (RPK) 18″ front and 19″ rear Black machined aluminum wheels, and (QCC) 19″ front and 20″ rear Black machined aluminum wheels.

9) (E57) Carbon Fiber tonneau inserts for Convertible

I'm sure theres still a few more things I left off.

2014 NPP tailpipe valves are powered by underhood fuse #41;
2015 NPP is powered by underhood fuse #42 (#41 now powers headlamp washers on export models).

2015's do not have HD Radio, 2014's do.

I was price protected, thus the $3,500 difference in MSRP between my 2014 and an identical 2015. Otherwise the difference would nave been less.

My 2015 owner's manual says fuse #42 for one valve and fuse #32 for the other one.

The NPP valves are fuse 41 (2014) or 42 (2015)

The AFM valves are fuse 32. For V4 mode only. Don't pull it!

What did they do to the 7 Spd? It feels better but I though it was all in my head.

Feels tighter, more precise. Also the 7th gate is "harder" to get in so you don't accidentally slip into 7th trying to go into 5th.

I believe the rev matching feature on the manual tranny has been improved to do a better job. I drove a friends manual tranny 2014 Z51 recently( one of the last 2014's produced) and although it worked okay, I could see it did need some tweaking. Sounds like the needed refinement has been addressed in the 2015.
