I feel bad for all you c6, c7 or what ever vette you have or dont have. My problem is this.
I have a 2010 early production Camaro 2SS/RS Inferno Orange. I was so looking to get a 2015 DSOM Corvette. I was all set to part with my beloved 4k mile Camaro until I seen a 2015 DSOM. I was a bit disapointed with the color. My IOM Camy is so sweet, I'm not sure I can part with it. I have to sell the camaro or sell the wifes Saturn Sky to get the Vette.My 2015i Escalade is due for delivery in December. Should I just wait for a 2016 sell the Sky and keep the Camy or sell the Camy and pay half the vette off and mod it????.....I'm Torn

Thanks for making my point that C6 owners CAN afford a new C7, just as my friend can. What some in this section can't get through their thick skulls is that just because a C6 owner doesn't lust over the C7, it is not necessarily because he can't afford it. Just because you(as a group) think the C7 is the greatest thing on earth, not everyone shares your feelings, and it has nothing to do with money.

When the C6 was released, plenty of C5 owners didn't fall in lust with the C6. And it had nothing to do with whether they could afford one or not. They just didn't like the looks of the C6.

Just as there are some C7 owners that don't lust over a Viper, doesn't automatically mean they can't afford one. News flash: they just don't want a Viper and are plenty happy with their C7, even if they can write a check for a Viper.

Same holds true for the C6 owner that doesn't lust over a C7.

Just because there are plenty of people that do lust over a C7, doesn't mean that those that don't, cannot afford one.

I wish I could have kept my 09 in addition to my 14. I'd like to have one of every generation but can only afford one. In my opinion they(chevy) has never made an ugly one!

One of my friends had a Camaro this color. It would be a gorgeous color on the vette, IMO. Of course, I have a vette that's really orange, not copper colored.

Actually, I too was surprised when he said he got $9,000 off. I figured he would get around $6,000-$7,000 off as I told him to check on the credit union discount(he wasn't aware of it) and also to talk to a mutual friend who is a retired GM employee, to see if he could get the employee discount for friends(I'm not sure it is available currently), as our mutual friend told me not to long ago that I could buy ANY GM product using his employee discount. That mutual friend is expecting his 2015 C7 any day, that he purchased using his employee discount. Dealers don't have to sell their C7's at the employee discount, so the fact that they are, tells me that they want to sell their C7's, even at a discount. Demand isn't great enough for them to refuse the employee discount sale, and then try and hold out for a higher price from a regular sale.

My friend has a close relative that works for another Chevy dealer(not where he bought his car from) and could get a very good discount at that dealer(but not near $9,000), but they only had two 2015's in stock and neither of them was a color they were happy with.

The guy is no slouch. He is a EE with a PhD and retired from a nuclear lab in New Mexico,. He is also a Bronze Star recipient.

He knows a itty bit about business and buying cars.

I had my TT C6 Vert on the rack for 9 months, maybe put 100 miles on her just because I felt bad. The C7 us just that much nicer!

I still have pics of a beautiful inferno orange ZR1, really lights up out in the sun. My favorite GM orange so far. IMO the Sky is the weak link.

There are C6 owners that can and can't afford a C7. The same theory applies to all other makes and models of cars.

Some people know how to handle the situation like an adult, others can't help but diss what they can't have. That's just immature behavior.
