Do you have 2LT or 3LT interior?

Looks to be a 2LT, all the 3LT's I've seen the armpad is smooth and not textured like that.

Are you putting a lot of pressure on the armrest? Maybe to lift yourself out of the car? Or to get into the right position?

That is what I was thinking, that 3LT would be smoother. I am wondering if the 3LT would have done this, or at least this quick (6K miles).

I have 3LT Kalahari and rest my arm on it all the time with 13,700 miles. No wrinkling at all. One way or the other, it doesn't seem right.

Agreed, it doesn't seem right, and seems to be excessive wear. A trip to the dealer is in order for the OP.

It looks discolored as well? Could be camera angle/ lighting. Chemical reaction from some thing? Anyway take it to the dealer.

Didn't know they were using shar pei hide on these. Surely that must be an easy warranty replacement.

You might be able to tighten that up with a hair drier, slow and easy.

That is not what I want to see or read about. I sold my C6 because of door panel arm rests coming apart along with the headlight covers/lens discoloration. That was on top of the front tires being wiped out in 10,000 miles. The arm rest and headlight issues all appeared during the 4th year of ownership with less than 30,000 miles on the car. No warranty help.

I've been figuring to buy a C7 as a retirement gift for my wife next year. I sure don't want to deal with cosmetic issues again.

Discolored, puckered, and wrinkled is really strange. Assuming nothing other than normal use, I would think the warranty would cover it. Is that a heating element wire in the picture?
