On all 4 of my cars here in North TX I have removed the sticker and rely on the camera readers. Since making this change about 6 months ago not one billing issue.

The sticker is needed for the DFW airport entrance/exit gates I believe. $1 toll w/sticker or $2 cash IIRC.

Since I don't know what a NTTA tag is i'm going to go with no it is not. Mine is an "EZ Pass", Also called "Fast Pass" and a few other names in other states. It's a white transponder or sometimes blue which is displayed on the windshield.

I did the same, and then I received a letter from NTTA saying that it "cost them additional money and time" to do the camera reader lookup, and that if I didn't replace my "non-functioning tag" they would begin charging me non toll-tag rates even though I have a NTTA toll tag account.

It's a large sticker, blue in color with a orange circle and a "T" in the middle. Hideous looking on a 70k automobile

The Texas NTTA tag looks fine if your car is blue, but terrible if yours is red like mine.

I put it on my truck in the lower passenger side corner and it works fine. The NTTA reads your plates anyway, so they don't really need the RFID tag. They told me on my motorcycle to just throw it in a drawer and the plates will be read

In Texas I called them regarding my motorcycle. They said, just put the tag somewhere on the bike in a topcase or sidecase. They'll pick me up using my plates even if they don't pick up the tag. Works perfectly so far.

Anyone open the tag and remove the RFID tag? I have the old plastic ones so I don't know how big the actual RFID tag is. Might give more placement options. YMMV.

Those annual Texas Inspection Stickers will be going bye bye next spring freeing up more space along the driver's A pillar.

I painted mine black to blend in the dash and velcroed it under the inspection sticker. Works great...no one can notice it.

It's more than just the little chip you can feel through the covering; much of the sticker area contains antenna.

I use a sticker on my C6. I had an old SunPass (actual hardware). Threw it behind the navigation screen and it works. No sticker FTW.

I am just now facing this question of placement (or not to place it at all)
I also have a blend mount so can't put it behind the mirror unless I put a good portion of it under the blacked out area. Will it work in the black area?
How do yawl velcro them> use the little velcro dots. What you blacken/paint your tags with?
Most of the tollways around Austin drive thru without any drop down gates to open- There are some of those around Houston but rare.
Like the idea under the hood liner if that works.
