Toll tag location
#2
I have one on my two other cars, but I refuse to stick one on the 'Vette. I have a Blendmount and Escort radar detector in the location where NTTA would like their ugly toll tag. So, I just keep it in the center console in the 'Vette and pull it out and throw it up on the center of the dash only when I'm about to drive down a toll road.

If they would come out with a tiny one painted black that could be invisible, then I MIGHT consider sticking it to the car.

I like to put the transponder behind the rear view mirror, but in my experience, it will then show up in the PDR video. So now I have it in the upper right corner of the windshield. Hate the look though.

Front Plate + Toll Tag. Not gonna do it! I wonder if they could make that toll tag any bigger? I'm thinking about rear hatch, it's tinted and couldn't be seen, or using velcro and placing behind inspection sticker. Or maybe let the reader scan my plate and deduct from my acct

If you're driving the toll roads, expect the DPS to pull you over for no front plate. Most local LEOs let it go, but not the DPS. The toll roads are patrolled by the DPS.

In Washington state, if you already have an account for the toll bridges (program is called "Good to Go"), you don't need a toll tag. Camera reads your license plate and automatically charges the fee to your account.

I live in Pennsylvania we have EZ Pass. I paint the part that faces out the windshield flat black. It does not affect how it works but disappears from view.

My NY tag is huge and white of all things. Why white? Why make it so it destroys the look from the front? No way I am going to stick that thing on my windshield. I keep it in the glove box and just hold it up there at the toll gates.

If you're in Texas, there are already uglier stickers we have to post on the windshield. I put my my toll tag in the center as high as it goes. From the inside, you don't really see it; it goes behind the rear view mirror.

Yes, Dallas area.
Problem is that they sometimes charge your account at the non toll tag rate (or they fail to read the plate properly and send you a bill in the mail with extra charges). What a nightmare getting them to admit their mistake and refund the difference. Not something I want to repeat.
