C7 VIN Location Trivia
Along with my previous trivia thread about the side windows, there was something else I learned while at the plant that I didn't know previously. So here is another trivia question:
Each car's VIN is etched into its chassis in a location that can be seen from inside the car if you remove the right items to see it. Where is the VIN etched? (And no, I'm not talking about the one on the dash.)

If I were to guess, I would say under the center console. Can't wait to hear where it really is ! Where is the one on the dash?

Since no one is likely going to want to pull up their carpet to find the hidden VIN, I will go ahead and reveal its location. If you were to pull the carpet back on the passenger side where the carpet meets the plastic trim near the front of the passenger door, you would find the hidden VIN etched into the chassis in a location that is just about parallel to where the front of the passenger door sill plate is.

Would not have guessed that location. Thanks for the info.

Cool! It's etched on the C7 before it comes down from the upper level.

Also got to see a couple European models on the line (tell tale side marker mirrors and the headlight washers).

I was amazed to see so many Z06s on the line when I was there. Literally every other car was a Z06 and I got to see several Z07 optioned (I believe, as they had the Carbon Ceramic brakes with the tell tale blue protectors on the rotors going down the line).
