Installed a Z06 grill with hot chrome strip!
I installed the z06 grill on my Stingray. I didn't want to be a poser with OEM parts from another model so I added a chrome strip for a little accent.
Enjoy

This is a good upgrade for anyone wanting additional cooling airflow for both engine cooling and brake cooling.
This was one of the many parts featured at the SEMA show in the GM booth's accessories display for the Z06 which GM personal said it was their intent to make parts available for upgrades to non Z06.
What is the part number and how much did it cost? How long to take the front bumper cover off and do the install?
Z06 grille
17% increase in airflow over Z51 grille

Looks good and functional as well.
Seems like if GM designed the Z51 as a "track capable" vehicle they would have used a similar grill just for the increased air flow. I'm sure they could have designed three grills for the Stingray.

Mine is on its way. Since GM is making these parts available for all C7's, I do not think anyone that uses them is a poser as long as you do not put on a Z06 emblem.

Melting Slicks
No one will be able the put the Z06 badges on this generation without buying the wider fenders and vents.

I was expecting a lot more anger. Boooo....
It actually doesn't look as out of place as it does on the standard grill.
The openings are huge, I can see why a lot more air can flow into the grill now. Now it can bring down my IAT's on my ProCharger even more!
Now we need a good front plate mount. The Aero Plate doesn't fit and I can make it fit but it takes away from the Z06 grill.

Let us know if you notice any difference. I was just thinking to myself, "When the front bumper comes off for the Procharger intercooler install..."
I love how GM is making the upgraded Z06 parts available for the lower models to take advantage of.
