Hello all, I have recently been getting the urge to finally get some new wheels on my ‘15 C7 Z51. I’ve been having some issues finding a whole lot of information online, and after going through multiple forum posts, I figured I’d make my own.

I am looking to get some aftermarket wheels that bring the wheel out as close to flush as possible with the fender. I was considering spacers for a while since I like the look of the OEM wheels, but I figure I might as well do it right and get some new wheels entirely.

I was wondering if any of you guys could help point me in the direction of some reputable aftermarket models that will help me achieve the flush look without any spacers or adapters. I have really been liking the look of forgelines from what I’ve seen so recommendations for that brand would be great!

Wheels are the one thing I have never really gotten much into, so I will admit I am slightly ignorant on the topic, so I apologize for asking what might be a silly question to some of you all. This will be my first set of wheels ever purchased so it’s all a bit new to me.

Smart move. Spacers are not the preferred way to do this. First figure out your finish, black? Silver? Chrome? White? ETC. Then look up the offset specs for your car. Now you have a reference point when you start shopping. Also ask around if anyone knows the maximum offset you can go with before things start rubbing. Cost can range from $1100 up to and over $10K. So a budget is advised if you don't have disposable income.

Post #3 poses some good questions. Once you have thought that through, the forum has a number of very good wheel vendors that you can get in touch with to assist you in finalizing a new set of wheels within your budget.

The plethora of wheel choices can be overwhelming.

I suggested thinking about and making as many initial decisions you can: color, busy design v. simple and open, stock appearing, easy to clean v. fussy, etc. Then contact one or more of the sponsoring vendors and ask for recommendations.

I personally liked the machine faced black Z51 wheels. Still looking for a set.
My personal favorite would be the option forged wheels Chevy offered from
Motor Sport.
Great looking wheels but difficult to find a complete set.

I just put a set of Velgen VF5 wheels on my '19 GS. I noticed after installation that they appear to give a more flush appearance than the OEM wheels.

Vortech had them, he had rubbing issue. i have the RSR R902's on my car with one size wider 255/295 and it barely rubs on the sidewall

Work with Gerry at CW4L to help design a set-up specific to your goals. Finish, size, offset, etc. can all be designed with manufacturer recommendations, etc. I went with Forgeline AR1s in Transparent Smoke finish which matched up with the Shark Gray vents and trim on my ‘19 Z06 w/Z07 package.

I also used Gerry at CW4L. I bought Forgeline F01 Black Ice flow forged wheels for my 2019 GS. I'm very happy with them.
You can get Corvette logo "wheel center cap stickers" that look great at Etsy website. Cost: $11.59 total for 4 stickers, high quality. Color options avail.
Pictures are representative, but not a photo of my wheel. The stickers cover the Forgeline logo on the wheel's center hub cap insert. Material is like a vinyl decal.

There is nothing wrong with using spacers to fit your wheels out to your desired look your wheel will torque just fine, I have used them on lots of cars with no issues and have been extremely satisfied with the performance.

Everyone has their opinion about spacers. I used them on my Jeep and never had an issue. You have significant wheel width constraints with the Vette, especially the narrow body. But if you're looking at aftermarket wheels and you get the proper offsets, spacers aren't needed.

I encourage everyone to do the research and learn how spacers not only cause premature wear on suspension parts but actually changes your suspension geometry.

Obviously the larger the spacer, this applies more. 🙄

On my Shelby GT500, I went with BC Forged (KL17) purchased from Hypermotive in North Carolina. Fully forged custom wheels, great service, and Hypermotive offered best price. 5 weeks from order to delivery.

On a side note, I have two sets (summer and all-season) of CRAY flow-forged wheels for my 2017 GS, and they have been great wheels with no issues in 6 years or so.

I 2nd the suggestion for BC Forged. I worked with Alex at Motorsports LA and he did a great job. The pic might not show well, but the wheel/tire is right at the edge of the fender opening. No rub, no poke, no spacers.
