My wife disapproved, but then...
My wife fought me "tooth and nail" about me getting this car. "Are you crazy, why would you want to do this?
About a week after getting it she was looking at it in the garage and said, "You know, I think I am starting to come around".
Vindication

The more she looks the more she will like. Looks like a tight fit in that garage.

If your other car is a prius I can only imagine what driving a car with a soul feels like I get more excited about the spin cycle on my washing machine than I would a prius!

My wife was the same way, she finally reluctantly drove it last week because I parked behind her car and that started the change. Today she drove to her dad's house in her car and when she came back she said, I have to admit that I wish I would have taken your car. I told her that's why they give you two fob's, one for each of us,lol. (Although when I go out to go so mm e where and it's gone I won't be too happy)

Just another reason not to listen to the wifey... Just hit your internal "mute" button when it starts... You earn your $$$, so you have the right to enjoy it if you want to. You only live once, you don't get a second chance. Do what makes you happy.

According to my wife, she didn't know I was buying mine when I did. When I left for my trip to Virginia, I told her I might buy a new Corvette and drive it home. She said that would be fine. When I got home with it, I quickly realized that my definition of a "new" Corvette and her definition of a "new" Corvette apparently were not the same.

OP, nice to hear your wife is warming up to the Vette. I would imagine after riding in it a few times, she will start liking the Vette and enjoying either riding in it or driving it.

Corvettes and spouses are an interesting combination. Its the only way to love 2 women and not get into trouble. In a year now she has never driven it but loves to ride in it.
Her transformation came in phases:
Nov 4, 14 we picked the car up and started home. After a couple of hours we pulled into a very large service area along the interstate. An hour and a half late we pulled out. Over that period, probably a 100 people came over to talk and take pictures. Her comment,"I kind of get it now, you should have told me to put on lipstick."
This summer we took a 5700 mi, 5 week trip from Charlotte to LasVegas / Ron Fellows(unbelievable experience). We had a basic route but followed our nose most of the time. Heading home passing Nowhere KS, she turns to me and says, "this is fun, where are we going next."
Transformation complete!

When my wife first saw a C7 Convertible at Laguna Seca I was able to get her to sit in it. She liked the seat a lot better than our 2012 C6. She really liked the idea of the heated seats, but then when I told her the passenger grip on the center console was a hand brake she was persuaded, and we now have our 2015 TR Z51 Vert.

I think my wife was more excited about replacing my C6 with a C7 than I was.
Of course, her daily driver is a Z06
