I'm guessing that there was no passenger in the car.

Hope that the driver and passenger, if any, are OK. nNt much left that looks anything like a vette except maybe the wheels and exhaust. Best wishes for whomever..

Stupid hurts, and I don't think that damage can be rubbed out.

Good news! I count 13 bolts and a handful of screws that are salvageable.

Wonder what he hit. 100+ on a city street near residential areas is beyond stupid.

OP, any news source on this?

No wonder the insurance industry has revised the rating code on the C7 based on average cost of repairs!

I'm amazed by the types of accidents that people walk (or live) from these days. There's barely any car left!

All the mandated safety standards make cars heavier but they also obviously save more lives.

Default Wow!

It appears that the entire passenger compartment is missing. I would like to see what the interior of the car looks like.

Default Hit a tree

After looking at all of the photos--They may have hit (side swiped) one of those trees in the median?? Luckily there was no passenger.

It appears that way. To me, in the last photo, it looks like they were coming toward us, so to speak, couldn't take the curve in the road and slammed the closest tree toward us with the passenger side of the car, launching the car across the small concrete median and into the other lanes, pieces flying off the car before it finally came to rest.

That happened on the corner of Irvine Blvd. & Yale Ave.

I didn't see anything on the news about it.

Hard to believe anyone could survive that, especially since it's a convertible.

Luckily he didn't have a passenger, cause it looks like the passenger side to the brunt of the collision.
