Default A8 shift problems

Anyone else having problems with A8 shifting hard into lower gears? When I roll up to a stop sign or light it jerks really hard before it comes to stop. Saw a bulletin about hard shifts until it adapts but just passed 500 miles and not getting any better. Not sure there is a dealer nearby I trust to diagnose. Any Ideas?

I sometimes notice a hard shift when using the paddles and downshifting from 8 to 7 and also from 6 to 5. I have about 900 miles on the car. Don't know if I would call it a problem yet. Need more drive time to pinpoint what it is doing.

I notice a difference when the car is in 'sport' mode, shifts very hard to lower gears. Putting the car in another mode (economy (hahaha!!! too funny, sorry, got sidetracked, touring or weather (again hahaha!!).....makes a huge difference in smoother shifting.

Are you downshifting with the paddles ( in MANUAL) or in D (drive) ?

I have 3000 miles now on our C 7 Coupe and the transmission is definitly smoother than in the first few hundred miles. There should be an experienced Chev/corvette dealer somewhere in your area who could as a first step plug in a scan tool to see if there are any codes showing up

Seems to be the same in all modes. If I paddle shift it does the same thing going from 3-2 like there is something going on with 2nd gear.

Could there be codes even though no lights have come on the dash?

You will probably not be complaining after around 1000 miles. Mine did this but after around 1000 miles I did not notice it anymore.
