I liked the black wheels compliments the black accents on body, vents, mirrors, spoiler, CF roof. Chrome wheels to me is flashy but we all have different tastes thats why they offer "options". If I am in mood for old style I drive the '66, then I appreciated the C7 even more-LOL

I have a C6 and notice not many have black wheels.I am looking at a used 2014 C7 vert 3LT Z51 BLACK spoiler, wheels and mirrors torch red with black top and interior. I notice that most C7's have black wheels is this the most popular choice and what do you guys think of the black wheels, black mirrors and black spoiler combination? I am not used to the black accents having been used to chrome wheels on my C6.Thanks Dave

I actually really like the black mirror and spoiler. Unfortunately it's a ZF1 only option, and it's not something I want to pay extra for (the ZF1)... I might have to get them painted after I get the car if I really want it. It's a bummer because I really do like the contrasting look (especially when the car already has contrasting black like the vents and wheels)
now if I got the laguna blue instead of the red, I would have preferred the silver wheels actually and matching vent colors. Unfortunately my wife loves the black rims, and that was one thing she requested I get... Gotta make her happy too lol

i have seen a bunch of C7 on the roads and never really gave them much thought. Until I saw and Arctic White with the black wheels, mirrors, spoiler and stinger stripe - I was like damn, hott. I started looking and every car had black wheels and mirrors/spoiler.
I ordered all white, silver wheels, and will probably white out some of the black.

Mine is Limerock Green with the matching spoiler and mirrors but the wheels are black as is the convertible top and interior. In my opinion its one of the nicest C7's I have seen. My C6 Z06 has the chrome spyder wheels and I like those too but for the C7, black!

I believe I have seen a 2014 year breakdown on colors, wheels and other options sold for the year. Most common color was Torch Red, Black interior and black wheels. I am sure someone can post the chart I am referring too. While black wheels may not be for everyone they have without question been VERY popular with buyers of all ages.

Mine is the one with the silver wheels, guy at work had just got the one with the black wheels, black spoiler / mirrors, and blacked out emblems along with the transparent roof panel a few weeks ago.
I really like mine but, could go the other way just as easily - except for the black wheels; which sort of makes the 'look' but, I just can't bring myself to black wheels.
Both are Z51. His is LT1 with auto and mine it LT2, manual with mag ride and other 'go fast' goodies. Several women at work - wow, did he get the 'race version' and you have the 'touring' car? Hmmm, that's an interesting observation.

Everyone's opinion is different. There's no right answer, but I think too much black dilutes the impact of strategic black components on the Vette, which is predominantly one color. Pick your colors conscious of that and you can't go wrong. I think most of the pics of owners choices in this thread are striking.
