Looking at a C7-are Black wheels, spoiler and mirrors really that popular?
I have a C6 and notice not many have black wheels.I am looking at a used 2014 C7 vert 3LT Z51 BLACK spoiler, wheels and mirrors torch red with black top and interior. I notice that most C7's have black wheels is this the most popular choice and what do you guys think of the black wheels, black mirrors and black spoiler combination? I am not used to the black accents having been used to chrome wheels on my C6.Thanks Dave

Go Canes!
I had the black combination on my C6 and loved it. It may be in the future with my C7, but for now it will remain stock!! The combination is certainly a head-turner!!!

Not for me. I don't believe that "most" C7s have black wheels. Most I've seen don't.
If you like it why does it matter what others think?

I didn't get the mirrors and spoiler black because mine is dark (NRB) but personally really like the look on the lighter colors like the TR coupe above and especially on the AW. I normally wouldn't like the different color spoiler and mirrors but think it works well with the vents on the C7. I'm going to avoid any talk of black rims. Those threads get out of control fast in here.

Mine is the one with the silver wheels, guy at work had just got the one with the black wheels, black spoiler / mirrors, and blacked out emblems along with the transparent roof panel a few weeks ago.
I really like mine but, could go the other way just as easily - except for the black wheels; which sort of makes the 'look' but, I just can't bring myself to black wheels.
Both are Z51. His is LT1 with auto and mine it LT2, manual with mag ride and other 'go fast' goodies. Several women at work - wow, did he get the 'race version' and you have the 'touring' car? Hmmm, that's an interesting observation.

I picked my colors based on what I liked. I wanted black wheels to highlight red calipers. But on previous vehicles, color keyed mirrors and spoilers were an upgrade. I wanted the mirrors and spoiler to match the vehicle color anyway. So it ended up costing me less to get what I wanted.

Personally, I don't care for the black mirrors and rear spoiler. It makes the car look too busy. I had them on a Camaro I previously owned. I don't like the black Z51 wheels either. Kind of boring. Now the black Z06 wheels, that's a different story. I would slap them on in a heartbeat if they would only fit on my Z51.

Black wheels seem to be popular with many C7 owners. For me I prefer chrome as I like the "pop" it gives to the exterior.

Until the ZF1 package was introduced very late in the 2014 model year, black wheels were an option only on Z51s. By far, more Z51's had black wheels than the other choices.
50.5 % of 2014 Z51 coupes had black Wheels, next was chrome at 31.9%. 24.7% of Z51 coupes had the carbon flash mirrors and spoiler.

I actually really like the black mirror and spoiler. Unfortunately it's a ZF1 only option, and it's not something I want to pay extra for (the ZF1)... I might have to get them painted after I get the car if I really want it. It's a bummer because I really do like the contrasting look (especially when the car already has contrasting black like the vents and wheels)
now if I got the laguna blue instead of the red, I would have preferred the silver wheels actually and matching vent colors. Unfortunately my wife loves the black rims, and that was one thing she requested I get... Gotta make her happy too lol
