I have the premium audio system in my 2014 Stingray. Do you guys think adding an additional two 10 inch subwoofers would be overkill? They both would sit directly behind the seats. I listen to rock and metal music. Here is a link to the system.
I would work on deadening/damping the system already in the car. I saw a great improvement in sound after I deadened the doors, rear, and sub enclosure itself and layed some MLV in the rear over the fenders and rear deck. The bass response after that was noticeably different.
I say start there THEN add speakers if you still want the extra power. You can do a VERY extensive job for $400-$500 for deadener/decoupler/mlv vice the $1200 for that system (that I bet may create some extra unwanted vibes that you will need to address)

Looks pretty nice and if you are really into the need for massive sound go for it. Personally I hate to make those kind of mods to a new Corvette. The stereo is ok but for them that is not what a Corvette is all about.
One 10inch should do you in a vette. Rockford fosgate makes a small one(with builtin amp) that fits decently in the back or you could get a custom done.
